It started with the murder of an actor and actress on the set of a slasher movie that was set on a small island named Haunt Island. Two years later, a documentary is being filmed about mysteries in Key West. Sean O’Hara and his best friend are making the documentary. Vanessa Loren, who was the filmmaker for the slasher movie, seeks out Sean and convinces him to explore the mystery of Haunt Island in his documentary and the unsolved murders that happened on her film set. She also asks Sean to hire her on to help with the documentary hoping to find answers as to who did the killings. There were interesting things in the story that I enjoyed--the great Key West setting, pirate legends, ghosts, the Bermuda Triangle. But the cast of characters just wasn’t all that exciting to me and I never found myself drawn into the story as much as I hoped I would be. I loved book 1 in the series, Ghost Shadow, but this one was just average....more
Ten years ago, David Beckett was under suspicion for killing his ex-fiancée when her body was discovered in one of the displays of his family's museumTen years ago, David Beckett was under suspicion for killing his ex-fiancée when her body was discovered in one of the displays of his family's museum. David was cleared and left Key West. Now Katie O'Hara wants to buy the museum. David doesn't want the museum to re-open, so he returns to Key West to put a stop to the sale. While he's back, he also wants the cold-case of his ex-fiancée's murder re-opened since the killer was never found. And then more murders start happening.
This was an extremely enjoyable romantic suspense story with a touch of paranormal. Katie and David were both very likable characters. I liked how Katie was able to see and communicate with ghosts, especially her ghost-friend, Bartholomew. It was creepy how the murder victims were placed in museum displays of famous people from Key West's history. I enjoyed reading about the history of Key West and some of its bizarre tales. The story was very atmospheric and I loved the Key West setting as it was preparing for its annual Fantasy Fest. The descriptions were well done and I felt like I was there in this thoroughly entertaining read....more

She's also a professional photographer doing Lee's publicity photos for him and his band. After the photos are taken, Bryn starts getting phone calls from someone who wants the photos badly enough to threaten her and her three young nephews that are in her care. Bryn can't contact the police, so she must get the photos back from Lee who now has them in his possession. Once Lee finds out what's going on, Bryn and Lee work together to take down the blackmailer.
This book was originally published in 1985, and re-released as part of The Harlequin Famous Firsts Collection. It was a very enjoyable romantic suspense story. I loved the premise of working on a music video. Lee was a very sexy rock star hero, of Native American heritage, and he made some lavish music videos. Bryn was a prickly heroine and she was hostile towards Lee a lot which tended to bug me at times, but it did add to the entertainment value of the story. There were a lot of great characters in this book: Lee's charming bandmates; Bryn's three adorable nephews; a sleazy politician; an amiable golfer; Bryn's friend Barbara. I even thought that the hero's name was pretty cool--Lee Condor. An entertaining read from the '80s and a lot of fun, too....more

Some think Collum died of a heart attack, while others believe it was due to the legend of the banshee, since the banshee was heard wailing the night before Collum's death. Devin and Rocky work with the Krewe of Hunters, a group of paranormal investigators. It'll be a working honeymoon for them while they try to unravel the case.
This was a very enjoyable novella. As always, Heather Graham provides a great atmosphere to her story. This time it's Ireland, and I felt as though I was there with the ancient ancestral castle, St. Patrick's Day festivities, the graveyard and crypts, the folklore and legends, and a banshee. It was nice to visit again with Devin and Rocky (who were featured in Heather Graham's book The Hexed). This was such a fun short story....more

Brad and his wife were vacationing in Salem and visiting one of the historic cemeteries when she disappeared without a trace. Also helping out is Rowenna Cavanaugh who is an acquaintance of Jeremy. She doesn't consider herself a psychic, yet she sometimes feels and knows certain things that can't be explained, and she has proved useful in police investigations in the past. When a body is discovered in a cornfield hung up like a scarecrow, it becomes a possibility that this crime may be connected to Jeremy's friend's missing wife. This seems eerily like it could be the work of the legendary Harvest Man.
This was a wonderful romantic suspense book with a touch of paranormal. The romance between Jeremy and Rowenna was on the easygoing side, but it was the suspense part of the story that I loved. I loved the Salem setting, and Heather Graham always does such a great job with description that I felt as though I was there. I enjoyed learning about the legend of The Harvest Man. The story is very atmospheric and there were some truly spooky moments. Loved the cornfields. The cast of secondary characters were a colorful assortment of people that I enjoyed reading about. This book would be a perfect read for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the Autumn season....more

Kelly is a soap opera actress. She is put on indefinite leave from the show after she is almost killed on the set. It's uncertain as to whether this was an accident or if someone is trying to kill her. During her time off she agrees to appear in a music video for a hot up-and-coming rock group. Doug is the dancing instructor hired to teach Kelly the tango for the music video. He is a former cop who has taken on the role of Kelly's bodyguard, as well, until it is determined if she is in any actual danger.
This was a fun and enjoyable story with an appealing lead couple in entertaining professions, a memorable secondary cast of characters, and the scenic locales of Miami, the Florida Keys, and Los Angeles....more
