Got a hip flask with a nice Deep Purple logo as a Christmas gift, which is nice. Looks official to me. Now on display with an older “Come Taste The band” mug. Cool.

Showcasing one of the DVDs that I got as a Christmas present, the 1968 hit movie “Where Eagles Dare”. Back then, it was Richard Burton that was the main star, now this edition is part of a Clint Eastwood collection. I guess it does not matter, the movie is still seen and appreciated. To me, it is the best WWII adventure movie that was ever made. It had everything, even down to the superior soundtrack. I may have seen it over 50 times. I think I will pop it in tonight actually. Back in the day, a big movie would return to the big screens (in theaters across the land) again and again. I first saw it when I was 13 (in 1974) and it was so good that I returned for a second viewing the next day. I was not supposed to be allowed in but I somehow did and the theater was crowded to the hilt on both nights. Millions of Swedes has seen this at the movies, it might be one of the Top 10 movies of all time over here. Then they started to show it on television, maybe once a year or so. I catched it then if I could. Just sharing the vibes. Then you had the VHS release and all the other DVD/Blu-ray editions. Lets just say that they did good with this movie. I was very happy when I got to interview Ingrid Pitt back in 2001, whom had starred as Heidi in this film. You can find the interview on this blog, archived in June 2013, so there is that.

I recently framed a magazine cover (Pizza 2006, my publication) with Tarja from her last days in Nightwish along with a Local Crew pass that were handed out to guests on the final gig in Stockholm on that fateful tour in 2005. I think it looks kind of cool. Gave it away to a buddy of mine that appreciates Tarja and Nightwish as a Christmas present. I do enjoy to frame stuff, it really is good fun.

Up early to start the day with some Disney on DVD. “Mickey´s Once Upon A Christmas” is a one hour (+) movie from back in 1999 that features some of the most beloved characters from the Disney universe. Kelsey Grammer is one of the narrators. Some good stuff, certainly appropriate for the day.

Married With Children era (1987-1997) cover from Swedish weekly TV publication. Not sure what year, looks like it could be from around 1990-1991. Great show. As things have progressed, in some ways the show is even funnier now. I have a box set just sitting there waiting for me to enjoy it all over again. Maybe next year.

Spent yesterday in good company swopping Christmas gifts and hanging out and it was a good day. Visited some second hand shops, saw the official Ozzy documentary about the final years of his life (very touching) and I will showcase some stuff on the blog today that has popped up.
(My shots from various places around Östersund, Jämtland County, yesterday)
