- the composition having the smallest GWP in the working medium of the present invention is the composition indicated by the lower left corner of the trapezoid (composition range (S)) shown in FIG. 1, that is, the working medium is HFO-1123. It is composed of only HFO-1234yf and has a composition of 5% by mass of HFO-1234yf with respect to 95% by mass of HFO-1123.
- the ratio of HFO-1123 to the total amount of HFO-1123 and HFO-1234yf in the working medium is 35 to 95% by mass, preferably 40 to 95% by mass, more preferably 50 to 90% by mass, and 50 to 85% by mass. Is more preferable, and 60 to 85% by mass is most preferable.
- the temperature gradient is small and preferable. In the range of 40% by mass or more, the temperature gradient is further reduced, which is more preferable in practical use as a substitute for R410A. Further, if the ratio of HFO-1123 to the total amount of HFO-1123 and HFO-1234yf in the working medium is in the range of 35 to 95% by mass, not only from the temperature gradient but also from the viewpoint of the coefficient of performance, the refrigerating capacity and the critical temperature. If the total content of HFO-1123 and HFO-1234yf is within the above range, good cycle performance can be obtained by increasing the efficiency while maintaining a certain capacity when used in a thermal cycle.
- the total content of HFO-1123 and HFO-1234yf in 100% by mass of the working medium is preferably 80 to 100% by mass, more preferably 90 to 100% by mass, and further preferably 95 to 100% by mass.
- HFO-1123 and HFO-1234yf in the working medium of the present invention are both HFO and compounds that have little influence on global warming.
- HFO-1123 is excellent in ability as a working medium, but may not be sufficient in comparison with other HFOs in terms of coefficient of performance.
- HFO-1123 is used alone, from the viewpoint of critical temperature, sufficient refrigeration cycle performance may not be expected for the purpose for which R410A has been conventionally used.
- HFO-1123 self-decomposes when used alone when there is an ignition source at high temperature or high pressure. Therefore, an attempt to suppress the self-decomposition reaction by mixing HFO-1123 with other components such as vinylidene fluoride to reduce the content of HFO-1123 has been reported (Combusion, Explosion, and Shock Waves, Vol. 42, No 2, pp. 140-143, 2006).

- the evaporator 14 and the condenser 12 are configured by exchanging heat with a heat source fluid such as water or air that flows facing the working medium.
- the heat source fluid is indicated by “E ⁇ E ′” in the evaporator 14 and “F ⁇ F ′” in the condenser 12 in the refrigeration cycle system 10.
- the temperature difference between the outlet temperature and the inlet temperature of the evaporator 14 is almost constant, but when a non-azeotropic mixture medium is used, The temperature difference is not constant.
- the inlet temperature becomes lower than 0 ° C., causing a problem of frost formation in the evaporator 14.
- the larger the temperature gradient the lower the inlet temperature and the greater the possibility of frost formation.
- the composition of the gas-liquid phase is greatly different, so when the non-azeotropic mixture medium circulating in the system 10 leaks, Before and after that, the composition of the non-azeotropic mixed medium circulating in the system 10 greatly changes.
- the working medium flowing through the heat exchanger such as the evaporator 14 and the condenser 12 and the heat source fluid such as water and air are always opposed to each other.
- the device is designed to improve the heat exchange efficiency by making it flow.
- a non-azeotropic mixed medium with a large temperature gradient an energy-efficient heat cycle system is obtained because the temperature difference of the heat source fluid is small in a stable operation state that is generally operated for a long period of time apart from the start time. Is difficult. For this reason, a non-azeotropic mixing medium having an appropriate temperature gradient is desired.

In the BC process, isobaric cooling by the condenser 12, the isoenthalpy expansion by the expansion valve 13 in the CD process, and the isobaric heating by the evaporator 14 in the DA process.

- the superheat degree (SH) of the working medium in the vessel 14 was set to 5 ° C. In addition, there was no loss due to equipment efficiency and no pressure loss in piping and heat exchangers.
- the refrigeration capacity and the coefficient of performance are enthalpy of each state of A (after evaporation, high temperature and low pressure), B (after compression, high temperature and high pressure), C (after condensation, low temperature and high pressure), and D (after expansion, low temperature and low pressure). It calculated
- Thermodynamic properties required for calculation of cycle performance were calculated based on a generalized equation of state (Soave-Redrich-Kwong equation) based on the corresponding state principle and thermodynamic relational equations. - Refrigeration capacity of working medium is a factor that determines the size of the device itself. If HFO-1123 is combined with a compound having a lower refrigeration capacity than HFO-1123, for example, HFO-1234yf, the mixture (working medium) after the combination has a lower refrigeration capacity than a working medium having a single composition of HFO-1123. . For this reason, in order to replace such a mixture with R410A, in order to compensate for the low refrigeration capacity, it is necessary to increase the size of the device itself and increase the energy used.
- HFO-1123 can be combined with HFO-1234yf, which is a compound having a lower refrigeration capacity than HFO-1123, and the refrigeration capacity can be practically used while balancing the following coefficient of performance. More than about the value.

- the stabilization of the coefficient of performance within such a range meets the object of the present invention in which only the working medium is replaced without changing the conventional equipment.
- the temperature gradient can be suppressed if HFO-1123 is within the scope of the present invention. If the temperature gradient is too high, there will be a restriction in replacing R410A. That is, the working medium of the present invention can be kept in the same critical temperature range as R410A. - the temperature gradient and refrigeration cycle performance (refrigeration capacity Q and coefficient of performance COP) of the obtained working medium were measured by the same method as described above.
- the refrigerating capacity and the coefficient of performance were obtained as relative ratios when the refrigerating capacity and the coefficient of performance of R410A measured in the same manner as described above in Example 56 described later were set to 1.000.

- Table 10 shows the results of the refrigeration capacity (vs R410A) and the coefficient of performance (vs R410A), and the GWP calculation results, along with the temperature gradient.
- the working media of Examples 53 to 55 including HFO-1123 and HFO-1234ze (E) have a large temperature gradient and can suppress the influence on global warming, but are practically sufficient. Cycle performance cannot be obtained.
- Example 56 As Example 56, for R410A (mixed medium with a mass ratio of HFC-32 and HFC-125 of 1: 1), which is the object of the relative comparison of Examples 1 to 55, the temperature gradient and the refrigeration cycle were performed in the same manner as described above. Performance (refrigeration capacity Q and coefficient of performance COP) was measured. The refrigeration capacity and the coefficient of performance are 1.000 as shown in Table 11. Table 11 shows the temperature gradient and GWP calculation results.
- R410A is a conventionally used working medium, in this example, it was evaluated that the cycle performance was practically sufficient if the cycle performance reached an equivalent level on the basis of this.
- R410A is comprised only from HFC and GWP is high.
- Examples 1 to 8 and Examples 14 to 51 which are examples of the present invention, have a low GWP, and the cycle performance is at a practically sufficient level based on R410A.
- the content of HFO-1123 is 70 mol% or less, and the working medium has no self-decomposability. It is a working medium with good operability that does not require the effort of ensuring safety.
- the critical temperature rises compared to HFO-1123 alone. That is, the mixed medium of HFO-1123 and HFO-1234yf can achieve a higher critical temperature than the critical temperature of 59.2 ° C. of HFO-1123 alone. It can be seen from FIG. 8 that if the ratio of HFO-1234yf to the total amount of HFO-1234yf and HFO-1123 is 5% by mass or more, a critical temperature sufficient to replace R410A can be obtained. Therefore, it can be said that by combining HFO-1123 and HFO-1234yf, it is possible to provide a working medium with a wide application range when substituting R410A.
- HFO-1234yf has lower refrigerating capacity than HFO-1123.
- the present inventors have completed the invention by clarifying that the mixing ratio is within the above range, so that the decrease in ability due to mixing of HFO-1234yf can be supplemented by a known technique. This is suitable for the current situation where it is required to replace only the R410A working medium without replacing the device as described above.
- the working medium of the present invention includes refrigerants for refrigeration / refrigeration equipment (built-in showcases, separate-type showcases, commercial refrigeration / refrigerators, vending machines, ice machines, etc.), air conditioning equipment (room air conditioners, store packaged air conditioners, Package air conditioners for buildings, packaged air conditioners for facilities, gas engine heat pumps, air conditioners for trains, air conditioners for automobiles, etc.) refrigerants, working fluids for power generation systems (waste heat recovery power generation, etc.), heat transport devices (heat pipes, etc.) It is useful as a working medium and a medium for a secondary cooler.
- refrigerants for refrigeration / refrigeration equipment built-in showcases, separate-type showcases, commercial refrigeration / refrigerators, vending machines, ice machines, etc.
- air conditioning equipment room air conditioners, store packaged air conditioners, Package air conditioners for buildings, packaged air conditioners for facilities, gas engine heat pumps, air conditioners for trains, air conditioners for automobiles, etc.

COP=Q/圧縮仕事=(hA-hD)/(hB-hA) …(2)
