Definitions
- the following invention refers to a device for the assembly of glass bricks, being of the type of glass bricks and which in its assembly are useful for the construction of walls of enclosure and separators, as well as the floor itself and whose assembly can be carried out by means of cement or similar or by means of separating elements between them, so that the device presented is based on the placement of a section profile ' general in double "H" elongated, preferably plastic, with respect to its sides to join with other bricks, joining the aforementioned plastic profiles, with the profiles of the attached bricks, by a cross-shaped element with double arms.
- the assembly and fixing of the glass bricks can be carried out by means of construction materials such as cement or the like, or it can be carried out according to modular assemblies according to different practical executions.
- the modular assembly can be defined by means of a wooden frame in which holes are formed for the placement of the respective glass bricks, so that perimeter to each of the holes has been practiced, in proximity to its side free, some recesses in which vinyl strips will be inserted for fixing the glass brick in it placed.
- the profile of adosamiento to the lateral sides of the glass bricks to be joined with other glass bricks has, on both sides of its soul or on its lateral walls, suitable interlocking means, preferably in the form of tabs or teeth , that propitiate its fixing at both ends with the cross-shaped element with double arms, which also has the corresponding interlocking means in the four double arms that make up the cross, allowing the fixation with four profiles.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention is provided in which the aforementioned cross elements are formed from four identical pieces and each of its arms is defined by a pair of parallel lugs finished off in an arrowhead.
- the profile of terraced presents in proximity to the ends, on both sides of its soul, some transverse recesses.
- the corresponding profile is fitted between the pair of conformal lugs of the arms and the arrow-shaped end fits into the respective transverse recesses of the profile to be fixed.
- a first alternative embodiment is also provided in which the aforementioned cross elements are formed by a single piece and, centrally, to its double arms and between them have a small thickening that extends externally as a lug, being between said regruesamientos a very small space, while the lateral sides of the double arms have a serrated configuration.
- the attachment profile presents at the ends of the internal faces of its wings a toothing and between the aforementioned toothed ends of each of the internal faces of its wings presents a pair of similar teeth.
- the attachment profile presents, on both sides, recesses that define an intermediate base of very small thickness and, laterally, to these recesses it presents two cuts made in proximity to the teeth of the inner faces of its wings.
- tubular projections arranged two by two in a centered position with respect to its transverse axis, which, due to their free base, are flush with the free side. of its wings and that, centrally, are provided with a hole that allows the fixing of the profile to the wall or the floor.
- the core of the elongated general section profile in "H" fits between the corresponding double arm of the cross-shaped element and the teeth of its lateral sides fit the respective teeth of the internal face of its wings, said operation being facilitated by the slight flexibility granted by the lateral cuts made in its soul.
- the intermediate base defined by the longitudinal central recesses of both sides of the core of the elongated "H" section profile is between the central protrusions materialized between each double arm and in the said recesses the protuberances are arranged.
- the elongated "H" general section profile can be divided in its middle into two halves to allow the assembly of glass bricks of different sizes.
- a second alternative embodiment is also provided in which said cross elements are formed by a single piece determined by a solid central core from which the four double arms emerge, separated between each other by an angle of 90 °, and each being formed one of the double arms by two parallel walls that, at the most separated end of the central core, are terminated by paths at right angles and oriented inwards, forming a small groove between them, as an eyelash.
- the attachment profile has, on both sides of its soul, transverse recesses, preferably 4, equipped with paths that are also transverse.
- transverse recesses preferably 4
- the central part it presents an additional transverse recess, of greater width than the previous ones, which favors the division of the profile by its middle part into two equal halves to allow the assembly of glass bricks of different sizes.
- the transverse recesses equipped with eyelashes are opportunely arranged so that, when the profile is split, the two resulting semi-profiles are equivalent and symmetrical.
- tubular projections arranged two by two in a centered position with respect to its transverse axis, which by their free base are flush with the free side of their wings and which, centrally, are provided with a hole that allows the profile to be fixed to the wall or floor.
- the side walls of the profile have a chamfered termination upper and lower. In the same way the ends of the profile soul have a chamfered termination.
- the chamfered termination of the profile core allows the introduction through the groove formed by the terminations of the parallel walls of the arm of the cross, forcing the parallel walls to open and, later, interlock in the aforementioned tabs of the recesses transversal.
- This device has a series of important advantages over the devices or joining techniques available and known at present, among which we can highlight that the fixing between the plastic profiles attached to the sides of the bricks and the cross elements is carried out in a simple and fast way by simple fitting, manually, without the help of any useful, conforming the entire wall, allowing the user himself to be able to carry out the work without requiring specialized labor, which It represents a significant economic saving.
- the device is based on the union of parts according to two unique configurations, which represents an economic saving in manufacturing costs by requiring a reduced number of molds.
