Abstract

 レート・出力特性といった負荷特性の向上と高密度化との両立が可能なリチウム二次電池正極材料用リチウム遷移金属系化合物粉体は、リチウムイオンの挿入・脱離が可能な機能を有するリチウム遷移金属系化合物を主成分とする層状構造に帰属する結晶構造を含んで構成されるリチウム遷移金属系化合物粉体であって、一次粒子が凝集して二次粒子を形成してなり、二次粒子のメジアン径Aと平均径(平均一次粒子径B)との比A/Bが8~100の範囲にあり、CuKα線を使用した粉末X線回折測定において、回折角2θが64.5°付近に存在する(110)回折ピークの半価幅をFWHM(110)とした時に、0.01≦FWHM(110)≦0.5で表されることを特徴とする。
