Abstract

　本発明は、従来の表面被覆層よりも耐摩耗性に優れると共に摩擦係数が低くて摺動性に優れる硬質皮膜、硬質皮膜被覆材および冷間塑性加工用金型ならびに硬質皮膜の形成方法を提供する。本発明に係る硬質皮膜は、（ＮｂｘＭ１－ｘ）ｙ（ＢａＣｂＮ１－ａ－ｂ）１－ｙからなる硬質皮膜であって、下記式（１）～（５）を満たすことを特徴とする。 　　　０．２≦ｘ≦１．０------式（１）　　０≦ａ≦０．３--式（２） 　　０≦１－ａ－ｂ≦０．５--式（３）　　０．５≦ｂ≦１--式（４） 　０．４≦１－ｙ≦０．９--式（５） 〔但し、Ｍは４ａ、５ａ、６ａ族の元素およびＳｉ、Ａｌのうち１種以上の元素を示し、ｘはＮｂの原子比、１－ｘはＭの原子比、ａはＢの原子比、ｂはＣの原子比、１－ａ－ｂはＮの原子比を示し、ｙは（ＮｂｘＭ１－ｘ）の比、１－ｙは（ＢａＣｂＮ１－ａ－ｂ）の比を示す。〕
