Abstract

 本発明は、従来の表面被覆層よりも耐摩耗性に優れると共に摩擦係数が低くて摺動性に優れる硬質皮膜、硬質皮膜被覆材および冷間塑性加工用金型ならびに硬質皮膜の形成方法を提供する。本発明に係る硬質皮膜は、(NbxM1-x)y(BaCbN1-a-b)1-yからなる硬質皮膜であって、下記式(1)~(5)を満たすことを特徴とする。    0.2≦x≦1.0------式(1)  0≦a≦0.3--式(2)   0≦1-a-b≦0.5--式(3)  0.5≦b≦1--式(4)  0.4≦1-y≦0.9--式(5) 〔但し、Mは4a、5a、6a族の元素およびSi、Alのうち1種以上の元素を示し、xはNbの原子比、1-xはMの原子比、aはBの原子比、bはCの原子比、1-a-bはNの原子比を示し、yは(NbxM1-x)の比、1-yは(BaCbN1-a-b)の比を示す。〕
