Abstract

本発明は、バースト誤りや、イレージャ等の、LDPC符号の符号ビットのエラーに対する耐性を向上させることができるデータ処理装置、及びデータ処理方法に関する。 LDPC符号化部21は、LDPC(Low Density Parity Check)符号のパリティビットに対応する部分であるパリティ行列が階段構造になっている検査行列に従ったLDPC符号化を行うことにより、LDPC符号を出力する。パリティインターリーバ23は、LDPC符号化部21が出力するLDPC符号のパリティビットを、他のパリティビットの位置にインターリーブするパリティインターリーブを行う。本発明は、例えば、LDPC符号を送信する送信装置に適用できる。
