Definitions

  • Some of the challenges in creating a sunscreen formulation suitable for use in the production of organic crops include innovating a formulation that allows it to be manufactured, stored and shipped to customers with little or no degradation, maintained as a stable and non-perishable emulsion, applied with currently available spray equipment, and capable of achieving effective coverage of plant tissues. Accordingly, there is a need for sunscreen formulations for use in the production of organic crops.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne des exemples de formulations d'écrans solaires agricoles destinées à être utilisées dans la production de récoltes organiques. Une formulation d'écran solaire agricole pouvant être citée en exemple comprend, en poids, environ 40 % à 80 % de carbonate de calcium, environ 1 % à 5 % de bicarbonate de sodium, et environ 15 % à 59 % d'eau. L'invention concerne également des exemples de procédés de préparation d'une formulation d'écran solaire agricole destinée à être utilisée dans la production de récoltes organiques. Un procédé pouvant être cité en exemple consiste à combiner une première quantité de glycérine et une certaine quantité d'eau pour former un premier mélange, à combiner une certaine quantité de particules avec le premier mélange, à combiner une certaine quantité d'un agent épaississant et une deuxième quantité de glycérine pour former un deuxième mélange, et à combiner le premier et le second mélange.
