Abstract
A plasma display panel (1) comprises display electrodes (X, Y) which are arrayed at regular intervals and extend along a first direction. Each of the display electrodes is connected to both of two band portions extending in the first direction over the entire length of a matrix display region and two band portions partially covering each of band-like discharge spaces (31) and is formed like a ladder composed of bar portions with the dimension of the first direction smaller than the widths (W3) of the band-like discharge spaces (31). The display electrodes (X, Y) further have discharge guide sections (80) each formed at positions which are in the vicinity of both ends of a second direction and at which the band-like discharge spaces (31) are covered. The discharge guide sections (80) have a stacked structure in which upper conductors (142, 152) with the dimension of the first direction smaller than the bar portions overlap lower conductors (132) and the lower conductors project to the both sides of the first direction of the upper conductors.
