Abstract

 全体にわたって還元剤を均一に分散させた排気ガスを、下流側に配置されたNOX触媒に対して流入させることができる内燃機関の排気浄化装置を提供する。  内燃機関の排気通路に配置されたNOX触媒と、NOX触媒の上流側の排気通路内に還元剤を噴射するための還元剤噴射部と、を備えた内燃機関の排気浄化装置であって、還元剤噴射部による噴射位置の下流側、かつ、NOX触媒の上流側に、流路の断面積が排気通路及びNOX触媒の断面積よりも小さくされた絞り部を備えるとともに、絞り部に還元剤拡散手段を備えることを特徴とする。
