Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention Hereinafter, example embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail by referring to accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating connection of a messaging service network which includes a mobile message sending server according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 1 , the messaging service network includes a mobile terminal
100, a mobile communication company system 120, and a mobile message sending server 130.
The mobile terminal 100 may include mobile communication devices, such as a
Personal Digital Cellular (PDC) phone, a personal communication service (PCS) phone, a personal handyphone system (PHS) phone, a Code Division Multiple Access
(CDMA)-2000 (IX, 3X) phone, a Wideband CDMA phone, a dual band/dual mode phone, a Global Standard for Mobile Communications (GSM) phone, a mobile broadband system (MBS) phone, a Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) phone, and a cellular phone; portable terminals such as a personal digital assistant (PDA), a hand- held PC, a notebook PC, a wireless broadband Internet (WiBro) terminal, and an MP3 player; and all types of hand-held based wireless communication devices including an
International Mobile Telecommunication (IMT)-2000 providing international roaming
service and extended mobile communication service.
The mobile communication company system 120 includes the CDMA, GSM, and WCDMA system, and a base station controller (BSC) 122 of the mobile communication company system 120 controls a base transceiver station (BTS) 121 and handles calls of a base station, the BTS 121 has wireless sending/receiving devices and performs communication with the mobile terminal 110 according to the control of the BSC 122. A mobile switching center (MSC) 123 handles an exchange function and connection with other networks by interoperating with another MSC, and in particular, sends a message to a messaging service center 124 when the message is received from the mobile terminal 110.
The mobile communication company system 120 illustrated in FIG. 1 is one of example embodiments, and the idea of the present invention should not be construed as being limited to the mobile communication company system 120 illustrated in FIG. 1. For example, the mobile communication company system 120 may include communication via applications such as a wireless application protocol (WAP), a binary runtime environment for wireless (BREW), or a wireless Internet platform for interoperability (WIPI), or may include wireless communication system such as a Wibro. In an exemplary embodiment, the messaging service center 124 may send/receive a message which is sent according to the WAP, BREW, WIPI, and Wibro schemes. Also, although a single mobile terminal 110 is connected to the mobile communication company system 120 in FIG. 1, it is clear that a plurality of mobile communication terminals may be connected to the mobile communication company system 120 of FIG. 1.
When a user requests to send a mobile message, an exclusive mobile application installed in the mobile terminal 110 is operated to provide a mobile message sending screen, and the user writes the mobile message to send on the mobile message send screen. In an exemplary embodiment, the mobile message includes all types of messages such as a short message service (SMS) and a multimedia messaging system (MMS) that may be sent via the mobile terminal. When the user requests to send the mobile message after writing the mobile message, the exclusive mobile application sends the written mobile message to a predetermined receiving number which is registered in advance in the exclusive mobile
application, regardless of a receiver number included in the mobile message.
That is, receiving numbers which correspond to the mobile message sending server 130 for sending large quantities of mobile messages are registered in advance in the exclusive mobile application. When the user requests to send the mobile message, the exclusive mobile application sends the mobile message to the prescribed receiving numbers regardless of the receiver number, and the mobile message sending server 130 may send the mobile message.
As an example, when the receiving number prescribed in the exclusive mobile application is "2000-1234", the exclusive mobile application sends all mobile messages to the receiving number prescribed in the exclusive mobile application "2000-1234" although the user sends a receiver number to be "018-202-1234", "010-777-8888", or another number registered in advance.
In an exemplary embodiment, the exclusive mobile application sends the mobile message by adding a receiver number originally inputted by the user to contents of the mobile message so that the mobile message sending server 130 may extract the receiver number to which the user requires to originally send the mobile message.
Accordingly, the mobile message being sent to the mobile message sending server 130 is replaced with the prescribed receiving number inputted by the user, and the receiving number originally inputted by the user may be a message stored in other areas of the mobile message, such as a message contents field.
The mobile communication company system 120 sends the mobile message sent from the mobile terminal 110 to the message sending server 130. That is, since the exclusive mobile application of the mobile terminal 110 sends all mobile messages to the prescribed receiving number, the mobile communication company system 120 finds out the mobile message sending server 130 which corresponds to the prescribed receiving number, and sends the mobile message to the mobile message sending server
130.
The mobile message sending server 130 receives the mobile message, analyzes the received mobile message, and extracts the receiver number to which the user requires to originally send the mobile message. Specifically, when the user sends the mobile message whose receiving number being "018-202-1234" via the mobile terminal
110, the mobile message is sent to the prescribed receiving number "2000-1234" by the
exclusive mobile application, the mobile message sending server 130 receives the mobile message, the mobile message sending server 130 extracts "018-202-1234" included in the mobile message, and may send the mobile message to a destination number to which the user requires to send the mobile message. The mobile message sending server 130 sends the mobile message to the receiver number extracted via the communication company system 120.
The communication company system 120 sends the mobile message sent from the mobile message sending server 130 to a mobile terminal which corresponds to the extracted receiver number. FIG. 2 is a flowchart illustrating operations of a method of sending a mobile message according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 2, the method of sending the mobile message according to the embodiment of the present invention provides a mobile message sending screen when an exclusive mobile application installed in a mobile terminal is operated, and receives a mobile message from a user in operation S210.
In an exemplary implementation, the exclusive mobile application may be a general virtual machine (GVM), wireless Internet platform for interoperability (WIPI), binary runtime environment for wireless (Brew), kilobyte virtual machine (KVM), kitty hawk, extended virtual machine (SK-VM), mobile application S/W plug-in (MAP), or web identity technical office protocol (WITOP) based applications. The exclusive mobile application installed in the mobile terminal for a message sending service, may be installed in the mobile terminal as a default when the mobile terminal is manufactured, and a user may download the exclusive mobile application via wireless Internet access to install. The exclusive mobile application may be operated on the mobile terminal by selecting a corresponding application from a specific menu of the mobile terminal by the user. In an exemplary implementation, the exclusive mobile application may be downloaded in the mobile terminal via mobile Internet access using a Hot-key to be established.
In an exemplary implementation, the receiving of the mobile message generates a receiver number of the mobile message in interoperation with an address list in the mobile terminal, and establishes a number of the mobile terminal as a default call-back number of the mobile message.
In an exemplary implementation, the mobile message sending screen may include an advertisement. In an exemplary implementation, the exclusive mobile application is operated at each predetermined receiving time, downloads advertisement information when the advertisement information to download from a server exists, and stores the downloaded advertisement information in the mobile terminal.
In an exemplary implementation, the predetermined receiving time may be times when traffic of a wireless Internet is comparatively light such as late-night or early morning. By downloading the advertisement information at the times when the traffic of the wireless Internet is comparatively light, it is prevented that traffic occurring due to the downloading of advertisement information obstructs the user from using the mobile terminal.
An advertiser or advertising agency may send the advertisement information to the mobile terminal at the predetermined receiving time each day, a predetermined number of times in a week, or a predetermined number of times in a month. The present invention may not send the advertisement information one by one, but may send the advertisement information at a predetermined time since the server interoperates with the exclusive mobile application, therefore the advertisement information may be effectively sent.
In an exemplary implementation, the server may be a server of the advertiser or advertising agency.
In an exemplary implementation, whether the advertisement information to download exists may be determined by the server or the mobile terminal.
In an exemplary implementation, the downloaded advertisement information may be stored in a storage unit in the mobile terminal, the storage unit being allocated by the exclusive mobile application.
The advertisement disclosed in the specification may be advertisement with respect to products or services in various fields. Also, the advertisement disclosed in the specification may be advertisement with respect to contents of mobile terminals, such as a ring tone and a background screen of the mobile terminals. In an exemplary implementation, the exclusive mobile application may delete advertisement information whose validity expires from the mobile terminal, from the stored advertisement information. Also, the exclusive mobile application may update
the stored advertisement information to be new advertisement information when the new advertisement information related to the stored advertisement information is received.
