Abstract

 圧延機出側に近いところでの急激な圧延材の温度変化を防止して、高精度な板厚制御を実現可能にする熱間圧延機の温度制御装置を提供する。このため、複数の圧延スタンドが連続配置され、圧延材を冷却する複数の冷却装置が設けられた熱間圧延機において、先ず、圧延材の目標温度と入側実績温度とに基づいて、複数の冷却装置のうち圧延機入側に配置されたものから優先的に上限圧力まで使用して、各冷却装置の冷却水圧力を演算する。次に、圧延材の目標温度と出側実績温度とに基づいて、目標温度と出側実績温度との偏差が小さくなるように、動作中の冷却装置のうち最も圧延機出側に配置されたものの冷却水圧力を演算する。この時、制御対象となった上記冷却装置の冷却水圧力が上限圧力に達した場合には、制御対象を圧延機出側に隣接して配置された冷却装置に、下限圧力に達した場合には、圧延機入側に隣接して配置された冷却装置に変更する。
