Definitions
- the invention relates to a rolling suitcase, which has a receptacle for goods to be transported, two guide tubes arranged parallel to each other on the receptacle for receiving telescopically in the
- Handle are connected together, and two in the bottom area of the
- Rolling suitcase rotatably arranged rollers, wherein the two guide tubes are arranged in the side region of the rolling suitcase and wherein the handle extends substantially over the entire width of the rolling suitcase.
- a rolling suitcase of this kind is well known in the art and described for example in WO 03/063637 A2.
- a per se typical structure of a trolley is there designed so that the guide tubes for the telescopically retracting rods are laid entirely in the side region of the suitcase, so that the two rods connecting handle extends substantially over the entire width of the suitcase.
- the invention is therefore based on the invention of further developing a rolling suitcase of the type mentioned at the beginning in such a way that a simpler manufacturing and assembly facility exists without having to accept any losses with regard to an advantageous handling of the suitcase.
- the case should in particular have a high inherent rigidity, even if dispensed plastic hardshells as the basis of the receptacle.
- the receptacle of the trolley comprises at least one extending over the entire width of the trolley carrier part of inherently rigid material, each having a groove in its two laterally outwardly facing surfaces, wherein in each groove is arranged a guide tube.
- At least one inherently rigid support member is provided, which determines the substantial rigidity of the rolling suitcase, which has formed lateral grooves, in which the guide tubes for the telescopic rod system for the handle of the rolling suitcase are arranged.
- the shape of the groove is preferably adapted to the outer shape of the guide tube.
- the groove is particularly preferred - corresponding to the outer shape of the Guide tubes telescopic rod system in the form of a half oval.
- a preferred embodiment of the proposed rolling suitcase is based on the fact that a carrier part is arranged in the upper end region and a carrier part in the bottom region of the rolling suitcase.
- the arranged in the bottom region of the trolley carrier part can then have two bearings for the two roles.
- the receptacle is in this case preferably made of flexible material which is attached to the support members. Accordingly, the trolley has only - almost as a skeletal support structure, the stiffness of the suitably determined - the support members including guide tubes on which relatively pliable, flexible material is arranged, which forms the receptacle of the trolley.
- the flexible material is preferably textile material, leather or artificial leather.
- the at least one carrier part will mostly consist of plastic and be designed as an inherently rigid injection molded part. In this case, a preferred embodiment provides that the carrier part is covered with wood or laminate or is formed by these materials.
- An alternative embodiment of the proposed rolling suitcase is based on the known concept of the hard-shell suitcase and provides according to the invention that the support member extends substantially over the entire height of the rolling suitcase, wherein the support member in the bottom region has two bearings for the two roles.
- the receptacle is preferably formed in this case as a plastic hard shell part comprising the support member.
- each guide tube may be associated with two telescopically telescoping rods.
- a preferred embodiment provides that the telescopically telescoping rods in the guide tubes next to a fully inserted and a fully extended position have an intermediate latching position. This locking position is preferably close to the fully inserted position and has the purpose that the handle in this position serves as a carrying handle, with which the trolley can be worn like a normal suitcase. This detent position can be solved (as well as in the fully extended state) with an integrated into the handle knob or with two such buttons again.
- the guide tubes are preferably screwed or glued to the at least one carrier part.
- the receptacle preferably has a rounded shape in its side view, when used as intended, towards the bottom in the side view.
- This is particularly preferably designed circular arc.
- the diameter of the rollers is between 45% and 75%, preferably between 50% and 70%, of the diameter of the circular arc.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a rolling suitcase, wherein for reasons of clarity, the rods inserted in the guide tubes of the telescopic rod system for the handle of the rolling suitcase are not shown,
- FIG. 2 is a side view of a portion of the trolley with a schematic representation of the telescopic rod system for the handle,
- Fig. 3 shows an alternative embodiment of the trolley in the side view, wherein the telescopic rod system for the handle is only partially shown, and
- FIG. 4 shows the section A-B according to FIG. 3.
- a rolling suitcase 1 which consists essentially of a receptacle 2, on which a per se known Teleskopstangen- system for the handle (see reference numeral 9 in Fig. 4) and rollers 10, 11 are arranged.
- the diameter of the rollers 10, 11 is chosen as large as possible in order to achieve the best possible rolling comfort. While in previously known solutions often roll diameter of about 70 mm are provided, preferably larger rollers are selected in the present case, which may have a diameter up to 120 mm.
- the telescopic rod system for the handle of the trolley, to which schematic representations in Figures 2 to 4 are included.
- the telescopic rod system has two guide tubes 3, 4, which are arranged in the side region of the trolley 1, wherein rods 5, 6, 7, 8 are guided in the guide tubes, again with two rods 5 and 7 and 6 and 8 telescopically interact.
- the uppermost rods 7, 8 are - as best seen in FIG. 4 - connected to a handle 9, which extends as a result of the positioning of the guide tubes 3, 4 in the side regions of the trolley 1 over the entire width of the trolley 1.
- the following embodiment of the rolling trunk 1 is essential:
- the receptacle 2 has - generally speaking - at least one over the entire width of the case 1 extending support member 14 of inherently rigid material.
- support member 14 of inherently rigid material.
- two such support members 14 can be seen, namely one in the upper region of the case and one in the bottom region of the same.
- adapted groove 15, 16 are provided in the two laterally outwardly facing surfaces of the support members 14 .
- In each of these grooves 15, 16 is ever a guide tube 3, 4 is arranged.
- the guide tubes 3, 4 are arranged on the at least one support member 14 in the side regions 12 and 13 of the case, which is why the handle 9 extends over the entire width of the case 1.
- the inherent rigidity of the suitcase is essentially determined by the two carrier parts 14, with which the guide tubes 3, 4 are firmly connected, so that a frame or skeleton structure is created. Accordingly, it is sufficient that the material used for the receptacle 2 is flexible material 17, which is typically a textile material.
- the support members 14 are made in the exemplary embodiment of injection-moldable plastic, wherein thermoplastics and thermosets can be used. As an example of the materials are called EVA and polyamide.
- a hard shell element used ie here the receptacle 2 of the trolley 1 is made of inherently stiff material, such as EVA or polyamide again.
- the carrier part 14, which here consists of the hard-shell storage container 2 itself, in its two laterally outwardly facing surfaces each one of the outer shape of the guide tube 3, 4 adapted groove 15, 16; in each groove 15, 16 is ever a guide tube 3, 4 arranged and fixed.
- the trolley 1 in the bottom area on a rounded shape, which is registered by the circular arc 18 with the diameter D (partially indicated only by dashed lines).
- the ratio between the diameter d of the rollers 10, 11 and the diameter D of the circular arc 18 is chosen so that at low interference edges a favorable rolling on the ground is possible.
- the roller diameter d is approximately 60% of the circular arc diameter D.
- a fundamental goal in the inventive rolling suitcase 1 is that the outwardly projecting parts of the case 1 do this as little as possible in order to have low interference edges, in particular when using the rolling suitcase 1 as hand luggage in the aircraft, and overall a small suitcase format or To achieve a small size case at maximum useful volume of the receptacle 2.
- the handle 9 on the telescopic rods can therefore largely be sunk in a groove 19 (see Fig. 1), so that in the fully inserted state of the rolling suitcase 1 has a largely cuboid contour with little interference edges.
- a groove 19 see Fig. 1
- the suitcase is particularly suitable for use as hand luggage in the aircraft.
