Abstract
A slip preventing device of a tire has plural sets of : arm frames each of which is contacted with an inner sidewall, a tread and an outer sidewall of the tire; a board for lower parts of the arm frames on an outer sidewall of the tire; and sliding parts and joint metals on the board. The arm frames of the tire are linked with each other.
Description
DESCRIPTION
Slip -Preventing Device for Vehicle Tire
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates to a slip-preventing device for a tire that is^ttached to the tire of an automobile or the like so as to prevent the tires from slippage on a snow-covered road or a frozen road in winter.
DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART
Conventionally, a variety of tire chains made of a metal material, a rubber material and a synthetic resin material into a net shape or the like are supplied. Handling these conventional tire chains is so difficult that it takes much time for most drivers, particularly, women or even men at night, etc.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
It is an object of the invention to provide a sli -preventing device for a tire that enables anyone to fit it on the tire in a short time. On the contrary, the attaching work with conventional tire chains is very hard for users who are weak such as women or the like, while studded tires are ineffective on frozen roads and uneconomical because of short-life cycles.
According to a first aspect of the invention, there is provided a sli -preventing device comprising plural sets of arm frames each of which has a shape contacting with an inner sidewall, a tread and an outer sidewall of a tire? a board for the arm frames which
extends along part of an inner periphery of an outer sidewall of the tire, and sliding parts in the radial directions of the tire for the arm frames and one-touch joint metals with springs on the board. The boards crossed into the next boards with the joint metals are arranged in a circumferential direction of the tire.
According to a second aspect of the invention, there is provided a slip -preventing device the sliding parts for the arm frames of which have adjustment for pressures.
According to a third aspect of the invention, there is provided a slip -preventing device the sliding parts for the arm frames of which have elastic bodies.
According to a fourth aspect of the invention, there is provided a slip -preventing device the arm frames of which have free joint units.
In the above-mentioned slip -preventing device, plural (up to four) sets of the arm frames are arranged at fixed intervals on the outer peripheral surface of the tire. At the time of running a car, according to about 3 to 5 % of the weight, a portion of the arm frames that touches a ground surface is strained and slides smoothly. The one-touch joint metal (The link unit) in shde, hook or the like have springs. Rotating the tire strikes a balance between a centrifugal force and a centripetal force in the arm frame of the tire that touches the ground surface.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
An embodiment of the invention is described hereunder referring to the attached drawings. Fig.l is a partially explanatory drawing of a slip-;preventing device for a tire according to an embodiment of the invention. Fig.2 is an explanatory drawing of the slip -preventing device that is installed on three parts of the tire.
FIRST EMBODIMENT
Referring to Fig.l, a slip 'preventing device according to a first embodiment of the invention has plural sets of arm frames, etc. each of which is installed on a tire. Each of the arm frames 1 has a shape contacting with an outside surface (a surface on this side of the drawing), a ground-touching surface (an outer peripheral surface on the upper part of the drawing) and an inner surface (a surface on the other side of the drawing) of a tire 7. A board 2 along part of an inner periphery of an outer sidewall of the tire has sliding parts 4 in the radial directions of the tire for lower parts (in Fig.l) of the arm frames 1 so that running the car strikes a balance smoothly according to about 3%
changes of the radius of the tire. By the side of the sliding parts 4, it further has a bolt with adjustment for pressures 3 of the arm frames 1 on the tire 7 according to diminutions of the radius of the tire. The arm frames 1 on an inner sidewall of the tire may have a free joint 9 for strains of the arm frames 1. In Fig.2, the slip -preventing device comprising three sets of the arm frames, etc. that is recommended for the best in general, is installed on the tire. The arm frames 1 of the three sets are disposed at constant angular intervals from the outer side in the radial direction of the tire, and the boards 2 of the three sets crossed into the next boards 2 along part of an inner periphery of the tire are arranged in a circumferential direction of the tire.
OTHER MODIFICATIONS
The link units may have a variety of structures such as a bolt and nut as the afore-mentioned. One-touch joint metals are ideal for this invention, with which it takes only five to ten seconds to attach or remove the device for one tire. Among any forms and any materials for the arm frame, preferable is a metal material, etc. that has property such as necessary elasticity or flexibility, strength or the like and that is hard to be abraded.
Consequently, this invention is very helpful for the people and the public because it's very easy and takes only a short time to attach or remove the slip -preventing device for truck drivers and bus drivers as well as women drivers of light cars, while many traffic accidents happen involuntarily without conventional devices or studded tires which are difficult to handle with at night or when the weather changes suddenly, and many roads get worse carelessly with conventional devices or studded tires even after the good weather lasts.
The preferred embodiments described herein are illustrative and not restrictive, the
scope of the invention being indicated in the appended claims and all variations that come within the meaning of the claims are intended to be embraced therein.
