Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for controlling the flow of water on surfaces exposed to the weather and to a drainage element such as for carrying out the method and a construction surface with such drainage elements which is exposed to the weather.
- the present invention aims to solve problems of the aforementioned type.
- the lines with openings pointing downward, at least partially with a longitudinal inclination be arranged at the lowest points of the sched roof, in particular in order to support snow on the one hand and to drain melt water on the other hand.
- a snow bridge can easily form on the tops of the tubular lines which are not provided with openings, but without preventing melt water from seeping into the line and along the line deepest points of the sched roof can be removed.
- the lines be heated, such as by means of hot air in hot air lines within the aforementioned lines or electrically, such as by means of heating wires laid in the aforementioned lines.
- the lines In order to further control the outflow of rainwater or meltwater on sloping roof surfaces, it is proposed to use the lines as snow guard elements with at least primarily downward-pointing, two-sided openings transverse to the roof surface filling lines. It is thereby achieved that on the one hand snow cannot slide off the sloping roof surfaces and on the other hand, owing to the double-sided, primarily downward-pointing openings, that melt water can pass through between the roof surface and snow and through the openings, ultimately in one Eaves system to be caught.
- a drainage element according to the invention such as for carrying out the aforementioned method, tensions a casing with openings or perforations provided thereon.
- the casing is designed as a one-piece, tubular structure for structural simplicity, and in certain cases the casing can also be formed by a plurality of brackets which can be mounted at a distance and leave the openings mentioned between them.
- the sheathing forms a one-piece, tubular structure and the openings essentially comprise slots arranged transversely to the tube axis, which can now be produced easily by transverse milling and with a sufficient opening area.
- the drainage element spans a tubular structure which is essentially triangular in cross section and preferably has slots as openings, the openings of which
- the ends lie approximately on a straight line parallel to one of the triangular surfaces, further preferably this one surface is slotted.
- a constructional surface according to the invention which is exposed to the weather and has drainage elements of the type mentioned is further characterized in that the elements mentioned form part of a surface drainage system provided with an incline. If this construction area according to the invention is designed as a sched roof, the drain elements mentioned are preferably used as part of a drain system with openings at least primarily pointing downwards, at least partially inclined in their longitudinal axis, and arranged on the deepest parts of the schedule.
- a construction surface which is designed as a flat roof and is also exposed to the weather is characterized in that the drainage elements with openings which are primarily arranged laterally and / or downwards are at least partially superficially arranged on the flat roof with an inclination in their longitudinal axis and are part of a water drainage system form.
- a construction area designed as a sloping roof also according to the invention, has, as part of the eaves system, the drain elements mentioned, with openings essentially pointing downwards, with which, as has been mentioned, no local accumulation of contamination can take place, but the latter regularly along the entire section - Flussele entes settles and so a leakage of water to be drained ensures much longer than is the case with conventional eaves systems.
- the drain elements made of plastic, preferably of at least largely UV-resistant plastic.
- a construction surface designed as a sloping roof preferably also has drainage elements of the type mentioned, with openings pointing downward and arranged on both sides, which drainage elements are arranged transversely to the roof fall lines and thus act as snow guard elements against snow slides. This ensures that water can flow in the direction of the sloping roof.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a first embodiment variant of a drain element according to the invention, on a weather-exposed device according to the invention
- FIG. 2 shows a further embodiment variant of a drainage element according to the invention on a construction surface according to the invention designed as a flat roof
- 3 shows the arrangement of a further embodiment variant of a drainage element according to the invention on a construction surface designed as a sched roof
- FIG. 4 shows a drainage element, as used in FIG. 3, with a heating pipe,
- FIG. 5 shows a further embodiment variant of a drainage element according to the invention on a gable roof, as a construction area according to the invention
- FIG. 7 shows a further embodiment variant of the arrangement of a drainage element according to the invention on a sched roof
- FIG. 8 shows a further arrangement according to the invention of a drainage element according to the invention as a snow trap element on a sloping roof.
- a first embodiment of a drainage element 1 is designed as a wire mesh roll 2. It lies on a construction area 3 exposed to the weather, so that dirt, such as flying foliage, can settle on the drain element 1, but cannot, or only insignificantly, penetrate into the inside of the wire mesh roll 2, with which a drain A of Melt water or rain water remains ensured by appropriate inclination of the drain element 1, even if there is not too thick a contamination on its surface. It is prevented that congestion can occur due to the contamination that is swept away by the accumulated contamination remaining on the drainage element 1 and thus allowing long water to penetrate through the braid. If the roof surface 3 is inclined as a construction surface transversely to the axial direction of the roller 2, the latter also acts as a snow guard element and is flowed through in the direction of inclination, as indicated by A 1 .
- FIG. 2 shows a further embodiment variant of a drain element 1 according to the invention. It is fundamentally made as a U-profile 5, for example from UV-resistant plastic, and has slots 9 machined into its U-legs 7. Such a drainage element is used, for example, in a flat roof 11 as the construction area according to the invention.
- the U-shaped element 5 is placed with legs down on the flat roof and a fill 13 is applied over the height of the slots 9. The bulk material of the fill 13 is so coarse that it cannot penetrate through the slots 9. This ensures that the water to be drained through the at any time
- a drainage element 1 which is provided for such a construction area, is tubular with an essentially triangular cross-section, that is to say prism-shaped. These elements are preferably also made from a UV-resistant plastic.
- Slits 23 are machined into the tubular casing 21 of the drainage element 1, preferably in such a way that the slit ends 25 lie, at least approximately, on a straight line lying parallel to the slotted prism surface 27.
- snow can easily accumulate on the mentioned prism surface 27 of the element 1, but the slits 23 ensure that the accumulated snow, as schematically indicated at 29, corresponds to that of the element 1 formed clog can not clog and melt water can always be drained. This prevents a snow bridge from piling up to the level of glazing / frame joints 31, where there is otherwise a risk of melt water dripping into the interior of the building.
- the drainage element 1 according to the invention shown in FIG. 3 is shown enlarged in FIG. 4, with an additional line system 32 for hot air HL to be provided if necessary.
- the line system 32 for example also made of plastic tube, has on its periphery Outlet openings 33 so that the supplied hot air HL can escape and on the one hand prevent icing of the inside of the drain element, and on the other hand, via the slots 23, melting of overlying snow bridges accelerates.
- FIG. 5 shows a further embodiment variant of a drainage element 1 according to the invention, which now forms part of an eaves system 37. So that one-piece or placed on a conventional eaves system, with the drainage element 1 according to the invention, a closed, tubular structure is spanned, with slit-shaped openings 39. Snow or dirt cannot accumulate inside the eaves system, and for example a drain pipe 41 clog, but remains on the casing 35 of the drainage element 1, which prevents clogging of the eaves system much longer than is the case with an upwardly open system.
- the drainage element according to the invention in one piece with corresponding openings, as has been described so far, it is entirely possible to construct it by means of a plurality of bracket-like elements 43, which are mounted at a distance from one another, so that the brackets as a whole are encased open with openings 45 in between.
- Drainage elements 1 according to the invention are shown on a sched roof.
- the drainage element 1 according to the invention is again tubular with an essentially triangular cross section, that is to say prismatic, and again preferably made of plastic, in particular of UV-resistant plastic.
- slots 23 are machined into the casing 21 of the drainage element, with at least approximately slot ends lying on a straight line parallel to the slotted prism surface 27.
- the drain element 1 according to the invention with its slotted prism surface 27 is arranged on the sched roof.
- the snow 29 can accumulate on both sides of the upward, not slotted edge, and melt water penetrates laterally through the gaps 23 into the interior of the drainage element 1, where it is in the channel formed by this element 1 and the snow 29 accumulated on the side as shown with A.
- the drainage element 1 is sub-chambered into a drainage channel 47 and a hot air channel 49, at most openings 53 can be provided in order to allow air flowing through the hot air duct 49 to exit slightly and to melt snow accumulated in the edge region.
- an electric heater such as a heating wire, can also be provided in the drain element in all design variants.
- a sloping roof 53 is shown schematically in FIG. 8 as the construction surface according to the invention.
- Drainage elements 1 according to the invention are attached to this sloping roof 53 as snow catchers. They are arranged essentially transversely to the falling lines of the roof surface 53, as shown in a triangular or prismatic design, with a casing 55 and slots 57.
- the slotted prism surface preferably lies on the roof surface 53, so that snow 29 is secured against slipping through the drainage element 1 and melt water can flow through the slots 57 in the direction of the fall line, that is to say transversely to the axial extent of the drainage elements 1, in order finally to be collected in an eaves system 59, at most designed as shown in FIG. 5.
- the drainage elements 1 according to the invention shown in FIG. 8 are drawn too large with respect to the roof surface 53 in order to clarify their mode of operation.
