Description

Nov. 8, 1938. I. CHESLER Des? 112,037 "Q COMBINED ERASER AND PENCIL TIP Filed D80. 10, 1957 \\\\W/////// mullumum INVENTOR Isiah)" Cfiefldbr QZZJMMM ATTORNEYS Patented Nov.-8, 1938 UNITED STATES Des. 112,037
PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A COMBINED ERASER AND PENCIL TIP Isidor Ghesler, Oceanport, N. J assignor to Eagle Pencil Company, New York, N. Y., a corporation of Delaware To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Isidor Chesler, a citizen of .the United States and residing at Oceanport, New
Jersey, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Combined Eraser and Pencil Tip, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, and in which Fig. 1 is a front elevation of the combined eraser and pencil tip showing my new design.
Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the combined eraser and pencil tip, and
Fig. 3 is a bottom plan view of the combined eraser and pencil tip.
The essential features of my design reside in a combined eraser and pencil tip of the configuration shown; the tip or ferrule being substantially shorter than the eraser and having an outwardly flaring lip on the upper portion. The eraser consists of a central reinforcing body portion of approximately one-half its maximum width, the
upper end thereof being spherical and concentrio with the upper periphery of the eraser flange. The lower portion of the cylindrical reinforcing body conforms with the upper edge of the outwardly flaring lip portion of the ferrule. The upper periphery of the eraser is circular in side elevation while the edges are substantially straight, converging towards the ferrule, and
forming a continuous uninterrupted contour with the flared end of the ferrule as best shown in Fig. 1. The intersections between the eraser flange and the central reinforcing body taper from the upper end of said body and meet at a point on the rim of the ferrule as best shown i Fig. 2.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a combined eraser and pencil tip, substantially as shown and described.
ISIDOR CHESLER.
