Abstract
An article of manufacture that is, in one embodiment, capable of storing and transporting a number of skullcaps in a manner to insure that the skullcaps supported thereby maintain their proper shapes.
Description
- This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application No. 62/336,997 filed on May 16, 2016.
- The present invention relates to articles of manufacture that provide for storage and transport of skullcaps.
- There are millions of men who use a skullcap or head covering for religious reasons. These men have several skullcaps at a time—of different colors and materials. These individuals are confronted with an issue on a daily basis: where to store their skullcaps at home and when traveling. Currently, there are no products in the market to store the skullcaps, and in so doing, protecting them from water, pets, children stepping on them, or other problems.
- The article of the instant invention not only allows the wearer to store away his skullcaps in a safe and elegant apparatus, it also ensures that the skullcaps keep their shape—something that is of the utmost importance to the wearer. Once the skullcap flattens or loses its shape due to water, children and pets running over it or simply not having something to keep its original shape intact—the customer has to get a new one.
- The invention will become more readily apparent form the following description of preferred embodiments thereof shown by way of example only in the accompanying drawings:
-
FIG. 1 is a top perspective view of the article of manufacture holding a skullcap as in one aspect of this invention. -
FIG. 2 is a side perspective view of such article of manufacture shown without a skullcap therein. -
FIG. 3 is side perspective view of such article of manufacture of this invention shown without a skullcap therein. - The product of the instant invention is an elegant hatbox made of, by way of example, leather, vegan leather or any other material as shown in
FIGS. 1, 2, and 3 . The storage article may have, as a non-limiting example, the following dimensions: the height may be 6½ inches, the width is 7 inches, and the depth 7½ inches, as shown onFIG. 3 . It is understood by those having ordinary skill in the art that the dimensions are for illustrative purposes only and the size of the article can deviate from the example herein provided without departing from the invention. In a separate embodiment, a latch locking system of the box ensures that even if the box is dropped, the skullcaps remain inside unmoved. The instant invention may also utilize, for example a snap closure, a zipper or any other closing system known to those having ordinary skill in the art. -
FIG. 1 shows the article of manufacture of thecurrent invention 10 having acloseable top 100 and abottom section 101 that can be closed together by a latch, a snap, a zipper, or the like as described hereinabove. At the center ofbottom section 101, there is adome 102 as shown inFIG. 2 andFIG. 3 on which the user can place one or more skullcaps 1000 (as shown onFIG. 1 ) which, if a panoply thereof, can be placed one on top of the other. The purpose of thedome 102 is to keep the “shape” of the skullcaps while they are stored away. The article of the instant invention allows the owner to have one place to store his skullcaps—the article of the instant invention, in a preferred embodiment, holds up to sevenskullcaps 1000 in a manner that keeps the shape of each intact. Other embodiments of the instant invention hold additional skullcaps. Advantageously, the article of the instant invention also affords the owner the advantage of keeping the shape of his skullcaps as these will be resting in the center dome thereby saving the owner money in replacing skullcaps that have lost their shapes. - As can be appreciated by one skilled in the art, the drawings shown and the manufacture as described herein represent only certain embodiments of the invention covered hereby and this application does not limit the breadth of the invention covered hereby to any one or more of such embodiments or drawings.
