Abstract
A wig storage bag is disclosed. The wig storage bag having multiple sections for holding multiple wigs in each section. Each section has a side and a bottom. Each section is further hinged to the bottom of the bag and the cover is attached to the wig storage bag by a closure, such as a zipper.
Description
- The present invention relates generally to wig bags, and particularly to a wig bag with compartments.
- Generally, wig cases comprising soft synthetic resin or paper cardboard have been used to store or carry wigs. However, the conventional wig cases have a problem in that wigs may be frequently compressed or deformed during storage or transport. Thus, the hairstyle of the wig is disordered so that great expense and effort is required to restore curls of the wig to original shapes thereof.
- The conventional wig support includes a wig support unit. The length of the wig support unit is determined such that both ends of the wig support unit are in contact with an inner surface of a packing container, thus preventing a wig from undesirably moving in the packing container.
- However, the conventional wig support is problematic in that the packing container itself is flat, so that it cannot prevent the wig from being compressed.
- Further, when the length of the wig support unit is equal to the width of the packing container, it is difficult to put the wig support in the packing container. Conversely, when the length of the wig support unit is slightly shorter than the width of the packing container, the wig support is not in contact with the inner surface of the packing container. Thus, the wig may undesirably move in the packing case during the transport.
- Further, the conventional wig support has another problem in that the wig support is thin, so that it is difficult to maintain the volume of the wig, and thereby the hairstyle of the wig is inevitably disordered.
-
FIG. 1 is an exemplary exterior view of a wig bag. -
FIG. 2 is the interior of the exemplary wig bag ofFIG. 1 . - Reference will now be made in detail to the present preferred embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. All terms in the plural shall also be taken as singular and vice-versa. Further, any reference to he shall also be applicable to she and vice-versa.
- Referring now to
FIG. 1 , an exterior of a wig bag is presented. Thewig bag 100 is useful in carrying wigs and other items safely and securely. TheWig bag 100 is being improved to allow storage of differing wig sections in compartments of thewig bag 100, thus the wigs to be transported or stored remain together and may be separated by customer, size, color, etc. - The
wig bag 100 has atop 101, afirst side 102, asecond side 103, athird side 104, afourth side 105, and abottom 106. Thetop 101 of thewig bag 100 is coupled to thefirst side 102, thesecond side 103, thethird side 104, and thefourth side 105. Thewig bag 100 may be of any material such as mesh, plastic, cloth, leather, etc. - The top 101 may be coupled to the
first side 102, thesecond side 103, thethird side 104, and thefourth side 105 by any means, the exemplary coupling means is azipper 106. Thezipper 106 or other coupling means may be any means such as Velcro, a string tie, buttons, a latch, etc. Theexemplary wig bag 100 utilizes azipper 106 with azipper pull tag 107 to manipulate thezipper 106 while opening and closing thezipper 106. - The
wig bag 100 is shown as a rectangular shape, but the shape may be any shape desired such as a square, round, octagonal, etc. The rectangular shape of thewig bag 100 has thefirst side 102 being at least significantly the same size as thethird side 104. Thesecond side 103 being at least significantly the same size as thefourth side 105. Thefirst side 102 is coupled to thesecond side 103 and thefourth side 105 along opposite edges of thefirst side 102. Thethird side 104 is coupled to thesecond side 103 and thefourth side 105 along opposite edges thefirst side 102 is coupled. The coupling may be any type of coupling such as sewing, string ties, etc. - The bottom edges of the coupled the
first side 102, thesecond side 103, thethird side 104 and thefourth side 105, are coupled to abottom 106. The coupling may be any type of coupling such as sewing, string ties, etc. - Along the opposite edges from the bottom edge, the
first side 102, thesecond side 103, thethird side 104, and thefourth side 105 are coupled to thetop 101. The coupling may be of any type of coupling such as thezipper 106, sewing, string ties, etc. Thezipper 106 is shown along the edge of thewig bag 100 but thezipper 106 may be anywhere to allow a user to open thewig bag 100 to see inside, access stored wigs, or to place wigs into thewig bag 100. - The
wig bag 100 also has ahandle 108. The handle may be of any material that can support a weight of thewig bag 100. The material may be vinyl, plastic, cloth, leather, etc. Thehandle 108 is useful when transporting or moving thewig bag 100. - Moving now to
FIG. 2 , an interior view of thewig bag 100 is shown. Thewig bag 100 has been unzipped at thezipper 106 and thetop 101 has been folded over to reveal theinside 201 of thewig bag 100. - The
inside 201 of thewig bag 100 has one or more compartments orsections 202. Each of thesections 202 are of an area which is a portion of the inside but any one section does not generally cover theentire inside 201 of thewig bag 100. The sections may be any material, such as cloth, leather, mesh, etc. Mesh is preferred in the embodiment because of the ability of the mesh to let air circulate throughout theinside 201 of thewig bag 100, thus allowing for the wigs and wig pieces to ‘breathe’. - The
sections 202 have at least apartial closure 203 on atop portion 204 of thesections 202. The side of thepartial closure 202 may differ between any of thesections 202. Thetop portion 204 may also have astorage area 205. Thestorage area 205 may be of any size and shape but most generally are not more than fifty percent of any onesection 202. Thestorage area 205 may have anopener 206. The opener may be a handle, a strap, a push button, a magnetic connector, etc. - The
sections 202 also have a bottom portion 207. Thebottom portion 205 of thesections 202 are placed along thebottom 106 of thewig bag 100. Thesections 202 of theinside 201 may further be more secure by attaching thesection 202 to thebottom 106 on theinside 201 of thewig bag 202. Thesections 202 may be secured to thebottom 106 on theinside 201 of thewig bag 202 by a lock hinge, Velcro, etc. - The features described with respect to one embodiment may be applied to other embodiments or combined with or interchanged with the features of other embodiments, as appropriate, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
- Other embodiments of the invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art from consideration of the specification and practice of the invention disclosed herein. It is intended that the specification and examples be considered as exemplary only, with a true scope and spirit of the invention being indicated by the following claims.
