Abstract

There is disclosed a nail file used to trim or polish the fingernails or the toenails. Conventionally, there has been suggested a nail file having attached a abrasive paper with a roughness on the surface of the stick shaped as a flat plate, or attached abrasive papers with different roughnesses partially, however, several problems have been caused, such as they were very inconvenient to use, and new file should be exchanged if any one of the abrasive papers runs out of its durability, so that it becomes a burden economically. To overcome these problems, there is provided a nail file including: a file body 20 having gripping recesses 21 and 22 formed at both sides thereof, and a plurality of attachment surfaces 23 formed on an outer surface thereof, each of the attachment surfaces having a curved surface depressed inwardly therefrom in such a manner as to be oriented to be orthogonal to the gripping recesses 21 and 22; and a plurality of abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 attached detachably to the attachment surfaces 23 via an adhesive member 40 and having different roughnesses. Accordingly, the inventive nail file has advantageous effect in that it is easy and convenient to perform the trimming and polishing of the fingernails, because the abrasive papers having different roughness are attached to the attachment surfaces formed depressedly inwardly therefrom, it is easy to grip the nail file so that the worker becomes tireless in spite of a long-term work of the nail filing because the gripping recesses are formed at both sides of the file body, and it is convenient to use and it becomes very economic because the abrasive papers can be exchanged.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a nail file, and more particularly, to a nail file, which is capable of trimming fingernails or toenails by cutting or abrading them.

BACKGROUND ART

In general, the fingernails or the toenails of a person continuously grow, and hence a part of them should be cut or trimmed periodically. In this regard, a file with metal divisions for abrading or a nail file with an abrasive paper is employed to trim the fingernails, and the like.
As shown in FIG. 1, the conventional nail file is constructed such that abrasive layers 11, 12, 13 having different roughnesses are formed at both surfaces of a stick 10 made of synthetic resin with proper elasticity.
However, in case of the conventional nail file, it is very difficult to effectively use the abrasive layers 11, 12, 13 having different roughnesses, and a problem is caused that it is not convenient to perform the filing work of the nail, and the like, because the stick 10 is formed in a rectilinear shape.
Furthermore, it is impossible to exchange the abrasive layers 11, 12, 13 partially after the use, and in addition, if any one of the abrasive layers 11, 12, 13 with different roughnesses runs out of its durability, they should be exchanged as a whole, so that economical loss has been caused.
Also, the use of the thin stick causes a user to suffer from an inconvenience of use such as cramping and tiredness in the hand at the time of long-term work of the nail filing.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION

Technical Problem

Accordingly, the present invention has been devised to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a nail file, which is made to be easy and convenient in use by forming curved surface portions at the outer peripheral surface thereof, and is capable of exchanging the abrasive papers with different roughnesses.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a nail file, which is capable of improving the efficiency and economic efficiency of the nail filing work.

Technical Solution

To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a nail file including: a file body having gripping recesses formed at both sides thereof, and a plurality of attachment surfaces formed on an outer surface thereof, each of the attachment surfaces having a curved surface depressed inwardly therefrom in such a manner as to be oriented to be orthogonal to the gripping recesses; and a plurality of abrasive papers attached detachably to the attachment surfaces via an adhesive member and having different roughnesses.

ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS

Therefore, according to the present invention, the inventive nail file has advantageous effect in that it is easy and convenient to perform the trimming and polishing of the fingernails, because the abrasive papers having different roughness are attached to the attachment surfaces formed depressedly inwardly therefrom, it is easy to grip the nail file so that the worker becomes tireless in spite of a long-term work of the nail filing because the gripping recesses are formed at both sides of the file body, and it is convenient to use and it becomes very economic because the abrasive papers can be exchanged.

MODE FOR THE INVENTION

Hereinafter, the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the appended drawings.
FIG. 2 is an entire perspective view showing a nail file according to the present invention, FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along line III-III of FIG. 2, and FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along line IV-IV of FIG. 2.
In the present invention, as shown in the drawings, the nail file of the present invention includes a file body 20 formed of material such as synthetic resin or wood, and the like, and abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 attached detachably to the outer side of the file body 20 and having different roughness.
The file body 20 is provided with gripping recesses 21, 22 at both sides opposing to each other so that fingers of the worker can be positioned thereon, and is formed with a plurality of attachment surfaces 23 at the outer peripheral surfaces in such a manner as to be oriented to be orthogonal to the gripping recesses 21, 22, and a plurality of abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 having different roughnesses are attached at the respective attachment surfaces 23.
The attachment surface 23 is formed to have a curved surface depressed inwardly therefrom so that the fingernails or the toenails can be easily trimmed.
The abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 can be attached to the attachment surfaces 23 via an adhesive member 40 such as an adhesive or a double-faced adhesive tape, and at least one of the abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 is more preferable to be consisted of a buffer.
Also, the abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 are constructed to be detached again after they are attached to the attachment surfaces 23, and it is more preferable that new abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 can be attached after the used abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 have been detached.
In the present embodiment, four attachment surfaces 23 have been formed at the file body 20, but the present invention is not limited to this embodiment, and it is of course possible to form three, or not less than five attachment surfaces 23.
According to the nail file of the present invention constructed as above, a user trims the surface of the fingernails or polishes the surface of the fingernails by using the abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 with her gripping the file after locating a thumb, a forefinger, and a middle finger within the gripping recesses 21, 22 formed at both sides of the file body 20.
In this instance, since the gripping recesses 21 and 22 are formed at both sides of the file body 20, it is very easy and convenient for the user to grip it, and it does not give excessive burden on the hand in case of long-term use.
Furthermore, since the abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 having a buffer and a roughness different from each other are attached to the attachment surfaces 23 formed to have a predetermined curvature at the outer surface of the file body 20, it becomes easier and more convenient to trim the fingernails and the toenails or to perform the polishing work of them.
Also, since the abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 have been attached detachably to the attachment surfaces 23 by using the adhesive or the double-faced adhesive tape, and the like, as shown in FIG. 5, when the surface of the respective abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 has been abraded or made impossible to use, it becomes very economic because it can be used by attaching new abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 after detaching a corresponding abrasive paper 32 only.
The present invention described above is not limited by the special embodiment, and it is possible that various modifications can be made by those people skilled in the art of this invention without departing from the gist of the present invention represented by the appended claims.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY

As described above, the inventive nail file has advantageous effect in that it is easy and convenient to perform the trimming and polishing of the fingernails, because the abrasive papers having different roughness are attached to the attachment surfaces formed depressedly inwardly therefrom, it is easy to grip the nail file so that the worker becomes tireless in spite of a long-term work of the nail filing because the gripping recesses are formed at both sides of the file body, and it is convenient to use and it becomes very economic because the abrasive papers can be exchanged.

Claims

1. A nail file comprising:

a file body 20 having gripping recesses 21 and 22 formed at both sides thereof, and a plurality of attachment surfaces 23 formed on an outer surface thereof, each of the attachment surfaces having a curved surface depressed inwardly therefrom in such a manner as to be oriented to be orthogonal to the gripping recesses 21 and 22; and

a plurality of abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 attached detachably to the attachment surfaces 23 via an adhesive member 40 and having different roughnesses.

2. The nail file according to claim 1, wherein at least one of the abrasive papers 31, 32, 33 and 34 is a buffer.

3. The nail file according to claim 1, wherein the file body 20 is made of wood or synthetic resin.
