This invention relates to tooth brush attachments and it has for its object to produce ra simple and practical fountain attachment scribed and claimed.

In the accompanying drawings illustrating a practical adaptation of the invention,-

Referring now to the drawings, the numeral designates the handle portion of an ordinary tooth brush, said handle having at its forward portion a brush head 11 whose bristles 12 may be arranged in any desirable manner and according to the well known structures on the market.

The fountain device comprises a tubular socket portion 13 which is preferably elliptical in cross section and slightly tapered for the reception of the handle portion 10 of the tooth brush. However, this socket portion may be varied in form for the accommodation of brush handles of different shapes and, 0bviously, other vsocket or holding arrangements may be provided in lieu of the tubular member shown.

Secured to the socket member 13, as by welding or by any other suitable means of attachment, is a nozzle pipe 14. This pipe 14 is attached to the end portion 15 of a flexible tube or rubber hose, which latter, inpractice, is attached to a faucet or other tap at the source of a water or other liquid supply. The

The varrangement of the nozzle tube 14 on the inner side of the Vhandle makes the device more practical in its application to the brush j and affords no protuberance on the outside of able modification without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.

The invention, therefore, is not limited to the specific structures shown in the accompanying drawings.

Having described my invention, what I 4claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is: Y

1. The combination with a tooth brush, of

a fountain attachment comprising a socket member in Which the handle of the brush is detachably secured, and a nozzle pipe secured to said socket member with its end portion inserted between the bristles of the brush head.

2. The combination with a tooth brush, of a fountainatta'chnrent comprising a socket member in Which the handle portion of the brush is detachably secured, a nozzle pipe secured to said socket member,` said nozzle pipe having a tapered outer end portion pro-v vided with jet oriiices and being insertable between the bristles in the brush headV .3. A fountain attachment for tooth brushes` andthe like, comprising a nozzle p'ipe havingfmeans for detachably securing it to the handle of a tooth brush on the bristle side 'of the latter, the outer end portion of said nozzle pipe being substantially Wedge shape in cross section and tapered longitudinally, said end portion of the pipebeing provided With a discharge outlet in its side.

4. In `a fountain. attachment for tooth brushes, a socket member for the reception of the handle portion of a tooth brush, a nozzle tube secured to said socket member and extending longitudinally therefrom on the bristle sidev of the brush, the outer end portion of said nozzle pipe being tapered longitudinally and 'beveled transversely whereby to be substantially Wedge shape in cross section, and With its relatively sharp edge pori tion disposed towards the base of 'the brush let head, said outer end portion beingprovided on its side away from the brushhead with minute jet oriices.

5. The combination With a brush, of a fountain attachment comprising `a socket member in which the handle of Athe-brush is detachably secured and a nozzle pipe secured to said socket member provided with jet orifices with its end portion inserted in the body of bristles of thebrush head.
