To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, GEORGE G. NoRosrnoM, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Garment-Sup ports, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to improvements in garment supports, and has for its object a device of this character which is of simple construction and efficient in operation, the same being especially adapted for use in barber shops.

The invention consists in the combinations and arrangements of parts hereinafter described and claimed.

The invention will be best understood by reference to the accompanying drawing, forming a part of this specification, and in which the View therein shown is a perspective view of a garment support embodying my invention.

The preferred form of construction, as illustrated in the drawing comprises an upwardly extending hook 1 provided with a retaining finger 2 arranged upon the upper side of the shank 3 thereof, and a retaining finger 4: arranged upon the lower side of said shank. Hook 2 extends rearwardly at an acute angle to shank 3 and hook 4 extends tolwvardly at an acute angle to shank 3, these fingers being adapted for holding a collar and tie in position on the shank of the hook. By arranging the fingers, as shown, either the collar or tie may be first inserted under finger 2, and then the other readily inserted between finger 4i and shank 3.

The hook 1 is provided with the usual base plate 5 having perforations (3 for the reccption of screws for securing the hook in position. Base plate'5 is also provided with two depending hooks 7 for the reception of other garments.

While I have illustrated and described the preferred form of construction for carrying my invention into eflect, this is capable of variation and modification without departing from the spirit of the invention. 1, therefore, do not wish to be limited to the precise details of construction set forth, but desire to avail myself of such variations and modifications as come within the scope of the appended claim.

Having described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

A garment support comprising an upwardly extending hook a retaining finger on the upper side of the shank of said hook and arranged to extend rearwardly at an acute angle thereto; and a retaining finger on the lower side of the shank of said hook and arranged to extend outwardly at an acute angle thereto, substantially as described.
