Abstract

The present invention discloses an information providing method for an electronic device. The information providing method may include: in an application provided to a user terminal, a step of confirming a usage history corresponding to user identification information; based on the usage history, a step of confirming a list of items other than at least one item purchased by the user; in a plurality of categories corresponding to the list of items, a step of confirming a list of categories classified into the same category; and a step of providing a first interface tool set including the list of categories to a main page of the application.

Electronic device and information providing method thereof

The present invention relates to an information providing method for an electronic device, which provides an interface tool set including information related to unpurchased items determined based on the user's usage history to a part of the main page to attract users to purchase.

Using the application installed on the user's terminal, users can search and purchase items. Each service provider manages its own application, and users can use the application provided by each service provider to purchase items online.

In this process, each service provider manages the information provided through the application in order to effectively provide information and attract users to purchase. Therefore, if the information included in the application can be provided more effectively than competitors, user usage will increase, thereby achieving purchases, so a lot of research is being conducted on how to provide relevant information.

Therefore, the user's purchase rate may vary depending on the information provided on the application's page, so technology is needed to effectively provide information on the pages included in the application.

The electronic device 10 can provide all information related to the item to sell the item to the user, and is included in the server that provides information related to the item. FIG. 2 is a diagram for illustrating a process of extracting keywords based on usage history according to an embodiment.

Referring to FIG. 2 , when a user logs into an application using a user terminal, the electronic device can manage the user's usage history. When logging into an application, the electronic device can manage the usage history of each user based on the confirmed user identification information. For example, the usage history corresponding to user 1 can be managed based on user identification information 1, and the usage history corresponding to user 2 can be managed based on user identification information 2.

Here, the usage history may include all relevant information obtained by accessing the application, such as the user accessing the application to search, purchase items, or confirm relevant information even if the user has not purchased items.

For example, when a user accesses the application and enters search term X to confirm the corresponding search results, the usage history may include information corresponding thereto. Alternatively, when a user accesses the application and searches for a specific item A to purchase, the usage history may include information corresponding thereto. Alternatively, when a user accesses the application and searches for a specific item B but does not purchase the item, the usage history may include information corresponding thereto. Alternatively, all information obtained when a user accesses the application may be managed through the usage history.

The electronic device can confirm a list of items other than items purchased by the user based on the usage history managed by each user. That is, the user can log in to the application to confirm a list of items including items other than items already purchased. For example, after the user logs in to the application, searches for items 1 to 10 to confirm relevant information, and purchases items 7 to 10, the electronic device can confirm a list of items including items 1 to 6 other than items 7 to 10 purchased by the user.

The electronic device can confirm the item list including items 1 to 6 excluding items 7 to 10 purchased by the user based on usage history 1 to usage history 10.

The electronic device can confirm the category corresponding to each item. At this time, the level of the category hierarchy corresponding to each item may be different. For example, the multiple categories corresponding to item 1 may be: the lowest category 1-1, the category 1-2 at a level higher than the category 1-1, the category 1-3 at a level higher than the category 1-2, and the category 1-4 at a level higher than the category 1-3. The category information of each item can be set when registering the item in the application.

The electronic device can confirm whether they are the same category based on the lowest level category among the multiple categories corresponding to the items 1 to 6 included in the item list. For example, since each category can include multiple items, even if item 1 and item 4 are different items, the categories may be the same.

The electronic device can confirm the category corresponding to the item based on the usage history, and classify them into the same category, and confirm the category list including the item. At this time, the electronic device can be classified into the same category and the category list including the item only when the number of items confirmed as the same category meets the preset benchmark.

For example, electronic devices can be classified into the same category only when the number of items in the same category is confirmed to be 3 or more, and the category list including the item can be confirmed. If the number of items in the same category is confirmed to be 2 or more, the category may not be included in the category list. The reason is that when the preset criteria are met, it can be inferred that the user is very interested in the items included in the category. When the category that does not meet the preset criteria is included in the category list and displayed by the interface tool set, the user's desire to buy may be reduced due to the same display of the category.

The electronic device confirms the categories classified into the same category by analyzing the usage history 1 to the usage history 6, and extracts keywords based on this. At this time, the keywords are texts that appear in the interface tool set of the main page, and the categories classified into the same category themselves can be extracted as keywords. When the user selects area 310, the screen can be switched to a page that selectively displays only items corresponding to the advertisement.

Area 320 of the main page is an area where icons divided according to preset conditions are displayed. Specifically, the multiple icons displayed in area 320 are icons that match the pre-set conditions. When the user selects an icon, the screen can be converted to a page corresponding to the condition. For example, icon 321 is pre-set as a condition for providing a delivery service that is faster than general delivery. When the user selects icon 321, the screen can be converted to a page that displays multiple items that provide faster delivery services.

Area 330 of the main page may include information related to the first interface tool set. The items included in the first interface tool set may include items related to items confirmed based on the user's usage history during a preset period. For example, when items 1 to 10 are confirmed from the user's usage history during a preset period, items 11 to 20 related to items 1 to 10 may be included in the first interface tool set. At this time, in addition to the items confirmed based on the user's usage history, the first interface tool set may also select and display related items based on certain criteria. For example, the lowest categories 11 to 20 corresponding to items 11 to 20 related to items 1 to 10 confirmed based on the user's usage history may be confirmed. At this time, in categories 11 to 20, categories 11 to 13 may be the same, categories 14 to 17 may be the same, and categories 18 to 19 may be the same. That is, categories 11 to 13 may all be the same category, categories 14 to 17 may all be the same category, and categories 18 to 19 may all be the same category. For another example, when in categories 11 to 20, categories 11 to 13 are the same, categories 14 to 16 are the same, categories 17 to 19 are the same, and the quantity of the same category is the same, the display order can be determined by comparing the sales volume of the highest-selling item among the items included in the category. The display order between regions 331, 332, and 333 can be determined based on the comparison of the sales volume between the highest-selling item L among the items included in categories 11 to 13, the highest-selling item M among the items included in categories 14 to 16, and the highest-selling item N among the items included in categories 17 to 19.

Regarding the first interface tool set, in addition to items confirmed based on the user's usage history, a certain criterion for selecting related items may be determined by considering purchase relevance. For example, category 1 and category 11 of item 1 confirmed based on usage history may be determined as categories with the highest purchase rate, and category 2 and category 12 of item 2 confirmed based on usage history may be determined as categories with the highest purchase rate.

When area 334 is selected, the screen can be switched to a page including information of various items that correspond to the first interface tool set but are not displayed.

When the user selects an area 331 from the areas 331, 332, and 333 included in the first interface tool set, the electronic device may switch the screen to an item detail page corresponding to the area 331 as shown in FIG. 6 .

Area 340 of the main page may include information related to the second interface tool set. Keyword 1 displayed in area 341, keyword 2 displayed in area 342, and keyword 3 displayed in area 343 may be keywords extracted according to FIG. 2 above.

Specifically, the electronic device may confirm a plurality of categories corresponding to a list of items including items 1 to 10 other than items purchased by the user, among a plurality of items confirmed based on the user's usage history during a preset period. At this time, the electronic device may confirm a category list including only the same categories that meet the preset criteria among the plurality of categories.

For example, in categories 1 to 10 corresponding to items 1 to 10 included in the item list, categories 1 to 3 may be classified as the same category, categories 4 to 7 may be classified as the same category, and categories 8 to 10 may be classified as the same category. That is, categories 1 to 3 may all be the same category, categories 4 to 7 may all be the same category, and categories 8 to 10 may all be the same category.

At this time, among items 4 to 7 included in categories 4 to 7 with the largest number of categories classified into the same category, the image corresponding to item 5 with the highest sales volume can be displayed as a representative image in area 341, and keyword 1 can be determined corresponding to categories 4 to 7.

Alternatively, the number of categories 1 to 3 and categories 8 to 10 classified into the same category is the same, so the electronic device may first display categories 1 to 3 including item 1 with the highest sales volume among the items corresponding to each category in area 342. At this time, keyword 2 may be determined corresponding to categories 1 to 3, and the image corresponding to item 1 may be displayed as a representative image in area 342. When the user selects an area 341 from the areas 341 , 342 , and 343 included in the second interface tool set, the electronic device may convert the screen into a login page corresponding to the area 341 as shown in FIG. 4 .

In the event that a user makes a purchase based on information displayed in the second widget set, information related to the item may be deleted from the second widget set and may be taken into account in determining the information displayed in the first widget set.

Area 350 of the main page may include information related to the third interface tool set. The items included in the third interface tool set may include recommended items determined based on the user's purchase pattern confirmed by the user's usage history within a preset period. For example, when the user analyzes the purchase pattern and orders specific items at a certain period, the items whose period has expired or is about to expire may be displayed in areas 351, 352, and 353 of the third interface tool set. If the user does not select the preset number of items whose period has expired (for example, 4 times) when visiting the main page, the electronic device may delete the item from the third interface tool set. When area 354 is selected, the screen can be converted to a page that includes information corresponding to the third interface tool set but does not display various items.

When the user selects an area 351 among the areas 351 , 352 , and 353 included in the third interface tool set, the electronic device may switch the screen to an item detail page corresponding to the area 351 as shown in FIG. 6 .

In the information related to items included in the first interface tool set, the second interface tool set, and the third interface tool set, when the user's response does not reach a preset number of times (for example, when no selection is made), the electronic device can delete the item in each interface tool set and replace it with information of other items.

FIG. 4 is a diagram for explaining a login page displayed according to an embodiment when the second interface tool set is selected in FIG. 3 .

Referring to FIG. 4 , when the area 341 included in the second interface tool set in FIG. 3 is selected, the login page pre-matched with the keyword 1 can be confirmed. For reference, a login page matching the keyword corresponding to the areas 342 and 343 included in the second interface tool set in FIG. 3 can also be pre-set, and when the area is selected, the screen can be converted to the pre-matched login page. The login page of FIG. 4 can be displayed in a sliding manner at the bottom of the user terminal.

Area 410 may include an interface tool set A, which displays items corresponding to the item list among the plurality of items included in the category of keyword 1 in a certain order. The item list may be a list of items other than at least one item purchased by the user confirmed based on the user's usage history. At this time, among the multiple items included in category C, the items can be displayed in areas 431, 432, and 433 in order of sales volume from high to low, and among the multiple items included in category D, the items can be displayed in areas 441, 442, and 443 in order of sales volume from high to low.

In the case where a user makes a purchase based on widgets A, B, C, or D included in the login page of FIG. 4 , information related to the item may be deleted from the widgets and may be taken into consideration when determining the information displayed in the first widget of FIG. 3 .
