Description

Drain trays for piece goods are known, which consist of a bottom, two walls and inclined bulkheads arranged along them that inhibit the descent of the cargo. As proposed in order to reduce the impact force of a moving load on the bulkheads, the latter are fixed pivotally to the walls of the tray and supplied with springs.

The proposed tray consists of the bottom A, knocked out of several longitudinal spacers (the number of boards is determined by the size of the load), two sandwiched walls D guiding the movement of the load and protecting it from falling, and the bulkheads located along the whole length of the tray symmetrically with respect to the tray axis (Fig 2) or in a shahatny order (fig. 3) and serving for braking the load during descent.

The bulkhead consists of cheek 1, attached by loops 3 to the wall B of the tray,

and springs 2 fixed by one end in wall 1 and resting on the cheek with the other. The load, moving along the inclined bottom of the tray, hits the cheek of the spring-loaded bulkhead and, overcoming the elasticity of its spring, loses its living force and further moves at a decreasing speed. After passing the load, the spring returns the cheek to its original position. As the rest of the bulkheads pass by the cargo, the same thing reappears, with the result that the load is displaced smoothly and there is no danger of damage.
