Abstract

The mechanism is for closing a drilling well pipe, and comprises partly a clamp ring pressed against the pipe end projecting above ground level and made of plastics. The ring has an aperture (7) corresp. to the pipe inner dia. A downwardly directed cable passage (10) is provided having a seal, the cable passing to a pump. A closable socket for the cable and a grid-type ventilation hole (12) are provided, together with a lockable cover (3) for the closure arrangement.
