Abstract
La presente solicitud de patente de invencion se dirige a un proceso de tratamiento secuencial para la lixiviacion en pilas de sulfuros primarios y secundarios de cobre tales como Calcopirita, Bornita, Calcosina, Covelina u otros minerales sulfuros y mixtos de cobre. Especificamente, el proceso de tratamiento consiste en un tratamiento secuencial de mineral chancado con tamano p80 menor a 38 [mm] (de preferencia bajo 19 [mm]), que se dispone en una pila dinamica o pila de lixiviacion primaria, en que una vez lixiviado en la pila dinamica, el mineral es removido de la pila y trasladado a una nueva pila para ser sometido a un proceso de lixiviacion secundaria en una pila permanente, en donde el proceso de lixiviacion en todas sus etapas se realiza bajo concentraciones de ion cloro elevadas, [Cl-] > 40 g/L, lo que mejora la termodinamica y en los equilibrios fisicoquimicos que se establecen las soluciones del proceso, lo cual genera beneficios importantes sobre el rendimiento metalurgico de este tratamiento secuencial.
