VCHB-10 TIENE EL NUMERO DE ACCESO NRRL-B-30881, O UNA MUTANTE O UNA RECOMBINANTE DERIVADA DE ESTA, CAPAZ DE REMOVER IONES METALICOS POR BIOSORCION (CAPTACION DE METALES PESADOS POR PARTE DE BIOMASA VIVA O MUERTA POR MECANISMOS NETAMENTE FISICO-QUIMICOS). UN INOCULANTE PARA LA REMOCION SE BASA EN LA CEPA, Y COMPRENDE PREPARAR: a)CELULAS VEGETATIVAS DE DICHOS BACILLUS sp. VCHB-10 Y EL PREPARADO SE PRESENTA COMO UNA SUSPENSION CONCENTRADA O INMOVILIZADA MEDIANTE SOPORTES EN BASE A POLISACARIDOS (ALGINATO, QUITOSANO O AGAR) O ADSORBIDA SOBRE UN MATERIAL INERTE (SUELO, TURBA O ARENA) O ENCAPSULADA EN FORMA DE GRANULOS CON UNA CAPSULA EXTERIOR CONSTITUIDA POR UN POLIMERO (ALGINATO COAGULADO), CONTENIENDO UNO O MAS EXCIPIENTES PARA ESTABILIZAR EL INOCULO (ESTABILIZANTES, OSMOPROTECTANTES O INHIBIDORES); O, b)ESPORAS DE DICHO BACILLUS sp.
