Claims (8)
- 帯状ガラスを成形する成形工程と、前記帯状ガラスにアニール処理を施すアニール工程と、アニール処理が施された前記帯状ガラスを冷却する冷却工程と、前記冷却後の帯状ガラスの送り方向を縦方向から横方向に転換する方向転換工程と、前記方向転換した後の前記帯状ガラスを横方向搬送部で支持して横方向に搬送する横方向搬送工程とを備えた帯状ガラスの製造方法において、
前記横方向搬送工程において、前記横方向搬送部により前記帯状ガラスの幅方向両側に前記横方向の搬送を推進する第一推進力を付与しながら、前記帯状ガラスを前記横方向に搬送し、
前記第一推進力を、前記帯状ガラスの幅方向中央に付与される前記横方向の搬送を推進する第二推進力よりも大きくすると共に、
前記横方向搬送部を、ベルトに開口した孔部から上方に気体を噴射することで前記帯状ガラスの少なくとも幅方向の一部を前記ベルトから浮き上がらせる浮上式ベルトコンベアとし、かつ前記ベルトのうち前記帯状ガラスの幅方向両側に接する部分には前記孔部がない構造としたことを特徴とする帯状ガラスの製造方法。 - 前記横方向搬送部は、前記浮上式ベルトコンベアと、前記浮上式ベルトコンベアの上方に配置され、前記ベルトとで前記帯状ガラスの幅方向両側を挟持する挟持用ローラとを有する請求項1に記載の帯状ガラスの製造方法。
- 前記ベルトのうち前記帯状ガラスの幅方向両側に接する部分にテープが貼られており、これにより前記幅方向両側に接する部分の孔部が塞がれている請求項1又は2に記載の帯状ガラスの製造方法。
- 前記テープに、前記ベルトよりも前記帯状ガラスに対して高い摩擦力を示すテープが使用される請求項3に記載の帯状ガラスの製造方法。
- 前記横方向搬送部は、前記浮上式コンベアと、前記テープの上方に配置された挟持用ローラとを有し、
前記挟持用ローラで前記帯状ガラスの幅方向両側を前記テープの上から押さえることで、前記テープを介して前記帯状ガラスの幅方向両側を前記挟持用ローラと前記ベルトとで挟持する請求項3又は4に記載の帯状ガラスの製造方法。 - 前記帯状ガラスは、前記幅方向中央を含む厚み寸法が幅方向で一定の平坦部と、前記平坦部の幅方向外側に位置し前記平坦部よりも厚み寸法の大きな耳部とからなり、
前記帯状ガラスの幅方向両側のうち前記耳部を除いた領域を前記挟持用ローラと前記ベルトとで挟持する請求項2又は5に記載の帯状ガラスの製造方法。 - 帯状ガラスを成形する成形部と、前記帯状ガラスにアニール処理を施すアニール処理部と、前記アニール処理を施した前記帯状ガラスを冷却する冷却部と、前記冷却後の帯状ガラスの送り方向を縦方向から横方向に転換する方向転換部と、前記方向転換した後の前記帯状ガラスを支持して横方向に搬送する横方向搬送部とを備えた帯状ガラスの製造装置において、
前記横方向搬送部は、ベルトの表面に開口した孔部から上方に気体を噴射することで前記帯状ガラスの少なくとも幅方向の一部を前記ベルトから浮上させる浮上式ベルトコンベアであって、
前記浮上式ベルトコンベアの前記帯状ガラスの幅方向両側に接する部分には前記孔部がないことを特徴とする帯状ガラスの製造装置。 - 前記ベルトのうち前記帯状ガラスの幅方向両側に接する部分にテープが貼られており、これにより前記幅方向両側に接する部分の孔部が塞がれている請求項7に記載の帯状ガラスの製造装置。
