Description
本明細書で使用する時、「歯科用組成物」は、歯牙構造に付着(例えば、結合)することができる材料(例えば、歯科用または歯科矯正用材料)を表す。歯科用組成物としては、例えば、接着剤(例えば、歯科用および/または歯科矯正用接着剤)、セメント(例えば、ガラスアイオノマーセメント、樹脂変性ガラスアイオノマーセメント、および/または歯科矯正用セメント)、プライマー(例えば、歯科矯正用プライマー)、修復材、ライナー、シーラント(例えば、歯科矯正用シーラント)、およびコーティング剤が挙げられる。しばしば、歯科用組成物は、歯科用物品を歯牙構造に結合するのに使用される。
本発明の硬化可能な歯科用組成物は、熱不安定性成分を含む。本明細書で使用する時、「熱不安定性成分」は、1つ以上の熱不安定性基を含む成分(典型的には化合物)を表す。本明細書で使用する時、「熱不安定性基」は、2つ以上の分離基を形成するために高温(つまり、少なくとも42℃)まで加熱する際に、当該基内の化学的結合が実質的に破壊される基を表す。好ましくは、高温は200℃以下であり、より好ましくは150℃以下であり、さらにより好ましくは100℃以下であり、最も好ましくは80℃以下である。成分を高温に加熱する際に化学結合の実質的な破壊が起こるかどうかを決定する好適な方法は、当業者に明らかであろう。好適な方法には、例えば、核磁気共鳴(NMR)分光法(1H、13C、および/または他の適切な原子核);および紫外線(UV)分光法、可視分光法、および近赤外線(NIR)分光法を含む赤外線(IR)分光法のような分光法が挙げられる。例えば、1Hおよび/または13C NMRスペクトルは、溶媒(CDCl3)中に成分を溶解し、高温に加熱し、および成分から生じるピークの消失、または所望の温度において反応生成物から生じるピークの出現を観察することによって、NMRチューブに便利に注入されることが可能である。
本発明の硬化可能な歯科用組成物は、典型的には硬化可能な(例えば、重合可能な)成分を含み、それによって硬化可能な(例えば、重合可能な)組成物を形成することができる。硬化可能な成分には、エチレン系不飽和化合物(酸性官能基を含むか、または含まない)、エポキシ(オキシラン)樹脂、ビニルエーテル、光重合システム、酸化還元硬化システム、ガラス・アイオノマー・セメント、ポリエーテル、ポリシロキサン等のような様々な化学物を含むことができる。ある実施形態において、組成物は、歯科用組成物の適用前に硬化される(例えば、従来の光重合および/または化学重合技術により重合される)ことができる。他の実施形態において、歯科用組成物は、歯科用組成物の適用後に硬化される(例えば、従来の光重合および/または化学重合技術により重合される)ことができる。
本発明の組成物は、酸官能性基を備えるか、または備えないエチレン系不飽和化合物の形態で1つ以上の硬化可能な成分を含んでよく、それによって硬化可能な組成物を形成することができる。
本発明の組成物は、酸官能性基を備えるエチレン系不飽和化合物の形態で1つ以上の硬化可能な成分を含んでよく、それによって硬化可能な組成物を形成することができる。
本発明の硬化可能な組成物は、エポキシ(オキシラン)化合物(カチオン系活性エポキシ基を含有する)またはビニルエーテル化合物(カチオン系活性ビニルエーテル基)の形態で1つ以上の硬化可能な成分を含んでよく、それによって硬化可能な組成物を形成することができる。
本発明の硬化可能な組成物は、典型的に主成分としてエチレン系不飽和カルボン酸(例えば、ポリアクリル酸、コポリ(アクリル酸、イタコン酸)等)のホモポリマーまたはコポリマーを用いる従来のガラスアイオノマーセメント、フルオロアルミノシリケート(「FAS」)ガラス、水、および酒石酸のようなキレート化剤が挙げられる。従来のガラスアイオノマー(つまり、ガラスアイオノマーセメント)は、典型的には、使用直前に混合される典型的に粉末/液体処方で提供される。ポリカルボン酸の酸性反復単位とガラスから浸出するカチオンとの間におけるイオン性反応に起因して、混合物は暗所で自己硬化するであろう。
歯科用印象材料は、典型的には、ポリエーテルまたはポリシロキサン(つまりシリコン)化学物に基づいている。ポリエーテル材料は、典型的には、ベース成分(例えば、末端基としてエチレンイミン環を有するポリエーテル)および触媒(または促進剤)成分(例えば、架橋剤としてのアリールスルホネート)を含む2部システムから成る。ポリシロキサン材料も典型的には、ベース成分(例えば、ジメチルポリシロキサンのような低〜中分子量のポリシロキサン)および触媒(または促進剤)成分(例えば、シリコンの付加の際には、ビニル末端基および塩化白金酸触媒を有する低〜中分子量のポリマー;またはシリコン縮合の際には、オクタン酸スズ懸濁液およびアルキルシリケートから成る液体)を含む2部システムから成る。両成分系はまた、充填剤、可塑剤、増粘剤、着色剤、またはこれらの混合物を典型的に含有する。代表的なポリエーテルの印象材には、例えば、米国特許第6,127,449号(ビッシンジャー(Bissinger)他);米国特許第6,395,801号(ビッシンジャー(Bissinger)他);および米国特許第5,569,691号(グッゲンベルガー(Guggenberger)他)に記載されるものが挙げられる。代表的なポリシロキサン印象材および関連するポリシロキサン化学物は、例えば、米国特許第6,121,362号(ワネック(Wanek)他)および同6,566,413号(ウェインマン(Weinmann)他)、並びに欧州特許出願第1475069A(ビッシンジャー(Bissinger)他)に記載されている。
特定の実施形態において、本発明の組成物は光重合可能である、つまり、組成物は、化学放射線の照射に際し、組成物の重合(または硬化)を開始する光重合可能な成分および光開始剤(つまり、光開始剤系)を含有する。かかる光重合可能な組成物は、フリーラジカル重合可能であるか、またはカチオン重合が可能であることができる。
特定の実施形態において、本発明の組成物は、化学的に硬化可能である、すなわち、組成物は、化学放射線の照射に依存せずに、重合、硬化、または別の方法で組成物を硬化できる、化学的に硬化可能な構成要素および化学反応開始剤(すなわち、反応開始剤系)を含有する。こうした化学的に硬化可能な組成物は、「自己硬化」組成物と呼ばれることが多く、ガラスアイオノマーセメント、樹脂変性ガラスアイオノマーセメント、酸化還元硬化系、およびこれらの組み合わせを包含してもよい。
本発明の組成物は、充填剤を任意で含有できる。充填剤は、歯科修復組成物等において現在使用される充填剤のような、歯科用途に使用される組成物に組み込まれるのに適した1以上の多種多様な材料から選択されてもよい。
ある実施形態において、本発明の組成物は、好ましくは歯科構造とは明らかに異なる初期色を有する。色は好ましくは、光退色性または光発色性染料の使用を通して組成物に付与される。組成物は、好ましくは組成物の全重量を基準として、少なくとも0.001重量%の光退色性または光発色性染料を含み、より好ましくは少なくとも0.002重量%の光退色性または光発色性染料を含む。組成物は、好ましくは組成物の全重量を基準として、1重量%以下の光退色性または光発色性染料を含み、より好ましくは0.1重量%以下の光退色性または光発色性染料を含む。光退色性および/または光発色性染料の量は、吸光係数、初期色を区別する人間の目の能力、および所望の色変化によって変動し得る。好適な光退色性染料は、例えば、米国特許第6,670,436号(バーガス(Burgath)他)に記載されている。
任意で、本発明の硬化可能な歯科用組成物は、例えば、2005年12月20日に出願された米国特許出願第11/275238号(名称「結合強度の低減方法、歯科用組成物、およびそれらの使用(METHODS FOR REDUCING BOND STRENGTHS, DENTAL COMPOSITIONS, AND THE USE THEREOF)」)に記載されるような酸発生成分および酸反応性成分を含むことができる。
任意で、本発明の硬化可能な歯科用組成物は、例えば、2005年12月20日に出願された米国特許出願第11/275240号(名称「熱応答性添加物を含む歯科用組成物、およびそれらの使用(DENTAL COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING THERMALLY RESPONSIVE ADDITIVES, AND THE USE THEREOF)」)に記載されるような熱応答性添加物を含むことができる。
任意で、本発明の硬化可能な歯科用組成物は、例えば、2005年12月20日に出願された米国特許出願第11/275243号(名称「放射線−熱変換体を含む歯科用組成物、およびそれらの使用(DENTAL COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING RADIATION-TO-HEAT CONVERTERS, AND THE USE THEREOF)」)に記載されるような放射線−熱変換体を含むことができる。放射線−熱変換体を含む硬化した歯科用組成物は、組成物を照射することで硬化した歯科用組成物を加熱することを可能とする。
任意に、本発明の組成物は、溶媒(例えば、アルコール(例えば、プロパノール、エタノール)、ケトン(例えば、アセトン、メチルエチルケトン)、エステル(例えば、酢酸エチル)、他の非水性溶媒(例えば、ジメチルホルムアミド、ジメチルアセトアミド、ジメチルスルホキシド、1−メチル−2−ピロロリジノン))、および水を含有してもよい。
本発明の硬化可能および硬化した歯科用組成物(例えば、1つ以上の熱不安定性基を含む熱不安定性成分を含む特定の実施形態における組成物)は、歯牙構造に付着(例えば、結合)することのできる材料を利用する様々な歯科用および歯科矯正装具に使用することができる。好ましい使用には、硬化した歯科用組成物がある時点で歯牙構造から除去されることが望まれる場合における適用を含む。かかる硬化可能および硬化した歯科用組成物における使用は、例えば、接着剤(例えば、歯科用および/または歯科矯正用接着剤)、セメント(例えば、ガラスアイオノマーセメント、樹脂変性ガラスアイオノマーセメント、および歯科矯正用セメント)、プライマー(例えば、歯科矯正用プライマー)、修復材、ライナー、シーラント(例えば、歯科矯正用シーラント)、コーティング、およびこれらの組み合わせとしての使用が挙げられる。
ガラス棒試験方法を用いた結合強度
8cm長のガラス棒の末端部に接着剤試料を1滴適用し、平均直径が0.254mmである少量のガラスビーズ(3M社、Z−ライト球体(Z-light spheres)、W−160型)を接着剤上に振りかけた。次に、ガラス棒をより太い4cm長ガラス棒に軽く押し付け、引き離して10分間乾燥させた。ホルダー内に長い方のガラス棒を接着剤側を上にして垂直に保持し、短い方のガラス棒を上部に対して垂直にバランスを取らせ、歯科用ハロゲンランプ(3M社、モデル2500、3M ESPE)を使用して30秒間接着剤を硬化させた。使用したガラスビーズの厚さによって接着剤層の厚さを決定した。
歯科矯正ブラケットを以下のような光硬化手順によってウシの歯の表面に結合した:中粒度のイタリアンパミス(Italian pumice)(ニュージャージー州パラマス(Paramus)のサーバラブ(Servalab))の水性ペーストを使用してウシの歯を口腔ケアし、続いて水を使用して洗浄した。乾燥空気流で歯を乾燥し、次にADPER PROMPT L−POPセルフエッチングプライマー(3M ESPE)を用いてエッチングおよびプライム化した。TRANSCEND6000セラミックブラケット(カリフォルニア州モンロビア(Monrovia)の3Mユニテック(3M Unitek)の部品番号59543−01)は、モデル2500歯科用ハロゲン光源(ミネソタ州セントポールの3M ESPE歯科用製品部門(Dental Products Division))を使用してAPCプラス(APC Plus)歯科矯正用接着剤(カリフォルニア州モンロビア(Monrovia)の3Mユニテック(3M Unitek))でエッチングおよびプライム化された歯と結合した。

実施例4A(33重量%)および実施例4B(66重量%)を提供するために、実施例3(化合物ジオール−10DMA)をADPER単結合接着剤(ASBA;3M社)に入れて手攪拌し;実施例5A(33重量%)および実施例5B(66重量%)を提供するために、実施例1(化合物OX−1DMA)をASBAに入れて手攪拌することで、様々な重量%濃度で熱不安定性ジメタクリレート化合物を含有する接着剤組成物を調製した。
熱不安定性ジメタクリレート化合物を含有するプライマー組成物
実施例6を提供するために、実施例3(化合物ジオール−10DMA)を25重量%でHEMAに入れて攪拌することで、熱不安定性ジメタクリレート化合物を含有するプライマー組成物を調製した。
実施例4A〜Bおよび5A〜Bを個別にエチルアセテート(65重量%)に溶解し、本明細書に記載のガラス棒試験方法に従って、結合強度(2本のガラス棒間)を評価した。さらに、ASBA(添加物を含まない)を適用する前に、乾いた空気と共に薄膜に1滴(約10mg)吹き付けるようにして、実施例6プライマーを上方のガラス棒に適用する以外は、本明細書で記載のガラス棒試験方法による結合強度に従って、プライマーとして実施例6(HEMA中のジオール−10DMA)を評価した。結果を表1に提供し、添加物を含有しないASBA(コントロール)の結合強度と比較した。
熱不安定性ジオール化合物を含有するプライマー組成物
実施例2(ジオール−10)と表2に示すような他の成分と組み合わせることで、熱不安定性ジオール化合物を含有するプライマー組成物(実施例7)を調製した。典型的な手順には、28グラムのTHF中で、7.0グラムのH12MDIと8.0グラムのTERATHANE650にジブチルスズジラウレート(シグマ・アルドリッチ(Sigma-Aldrich))を1滴を加え、終始攪拌しながらIRランプを使用して1.25〜8時間加熱した。続いて、22.3グラムのTHFおよび0.49グラムのVORANOL225中に7.4グラムのジオール−10を加え、混合物を周囲温度で一晩攪拌した。2270cm-1付近のイソシアネート吸収バンドの消失をFT−IRモニタリングしながら、N,N−ビス(3−アミノプロピル)メチルアミンを使用して、過剰イソシアネートをクエンチした。次に、生じたポリウレタンを60℃の炉に一晩載置し、全てのTHF溶媒を除去した。歯の試験方法における結合破損時間において記載されるように、生じた組成物を実施例7のプライマーとして使用した。
実施例7をプライマーとして用いた後、APC PLUS歯科矯正用接着剤(3Mユニテック(Unitek))を塗布し、本明細書に記載の歯の試験方法における結合破損時間に従って、結合強度(歯科矯正ブラケットとウシの歯との間)を評価した。結果を表3に提供し、ウシの歯表面と金属およびセラミックブラケット(コントロール試料)との間でのAPCPLUS歯科矯正用接着剤(実施例7プライマーを含まない)の結合強度と比較した。
Claims (2)
- 歯科矯正治療に用いられる歯科用組成物であって、次式(式II)で表される化合物:
(式中、R4およびR5はそれぞれ独立して有機基を表し;Dは付加環化付加物を表し;各E3およびE4は独立してエチレン系不飽和基を表し;o及びpはそれぞれ独立して0または1であり;R4、R5、E3、E4のうちの2つ以上および/またはDは、1つ以上の環を形成するために任意で組み合わせることが可能であり、但し、前記1つ以上の環はDの熱不安定性に影響しない)から成る群から選択される、1つ以上の熱不安定性基を含む硬化可能な成分;
800〜2000ナノメートルの波長の放射線を吸収する近赤外線吸収性放射線−熱変換体;および
歯科用組成物の硬化を開始するための反応開始剤、を含む硬化可能な歯科用組成物。
