Description
(a)ダイ構造を準備するステップと、
前記ダイ構造の表面は、所望のマイクロパターンの形態の山部と谷部の配列を示し、
(b)前記谷部を有色又は無色の硬化可能なラッカー層で充填するステップと、
(c)前記支持部材を、前記有色又は無色のラッカー層を良好に係留するために、前処理するステップと、
(d)前記ダイ構造の表面を、前記支持部材と接触させるステップと、
(e)前記支持部材と接触したラッカー層を硬化し、前記支持部材に結合させるステップと、
(f)前記ダイ構造の表面を前記支持部材から離すステップと、
その結果、前記支持部材と結合した硬化したラッカー層をダイ構造の谷部から切り離す
を有する。
放射硬化可能なラッカー層を裏当て層として形成するのが好ましい。前記ステップ(e)において、前記裏当て層は、前記ダイ構造内の谷部内のラッカーと共に、放射特にUV放射で硬化させることができる。

Claims (15)
- 有色又は無色のマイクロパターンを支持部材(20)に形成する方法において、
(a)ダイ構造(40)を準備するステップと、
前記ダイ構造(40)の表面は、所望のマイクロパターンの形態の山部(42)と谷部(44)の配列を有し、
(b)前記谷部(44)を有色又は無色の硬化可能なラッカー層(26)で充填するステップと、
(c)前記支持部材(20)を、有色又は無色の硬化可能なラッカー層(26)を良好に留める為に、前記支持部材(20)に硬化可能なラッカー製の裏当て層(30)を形成するステップと、
(d)前記ダイ構造(40)の表面を前記支持部材(20)と接触させるステップと、
(e)前記支持部材(20)と接触した前記ダイ構造の谷部(44)内のラッカー層(26)と前記裏当て層(30)とを共に硬化し、前記ダイ構造の谷部(44)内のラッカー層(26)を前記支持部材(20)に結合させるステップと、
(f)前記ダイ構造(40)を前記支持部材(20)から分離するステップと
を有し、
その結果、前記支持部材(20)と結合した硬化したラッカー層(26)を前記ダイ構造の谷部(44)から切り離す
ことを特徴とする無色又は有色のマイクロパターンを支持部材に成形する方法。 - 前記ステップ(b)で、前記谷部(44)を、照射硬化ラッカーで充填し、
前記(e)ステップでの前記ラッカー層(26)の硬化は、UV照射で行う
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。 - 前記ダイ構造(40)の谷部(44)内のラッカー層(26)は、前記ステップ(d)で、前記支持部材(20)と接触する前に、予め硬化させる
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の方法。 - 照射硬化可能なラッカーで前記裏当て層(30)を形成し、
前記ステップ(e)において、前記裏当て層(30)は、前記ダイ構造(40)内の谷部(44)内のラッカーと共に、UV照射で硬化させる
ことを特徴とする請求項2−3のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記裏当て層(30)は、ステップ(d)で前記支持部材(20)と接触する前に、予め硬化させる
ことを特徴とする請求項3又は4記載の方法。 - 前記ステップ(c)の支持部材(20)に、接着層を支持部材に裏当て層(30)として形成する、又は、前記裏当て層(30)を前記支持部材(20)に形成することに加えて、圧力処理による前処理を行う
ことを特徴とする請求項1−5のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記ステップ(b)における有色又は無色のラッカーの余剰分は、ドクター・ブレード、ダンピング・シリンダのいずれかの手段により、除去する
ことを特徴とする請求項1−6のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記ダイ構造(40)内のマイクロパターンは、ライン幅が1μm−10μmで、パターン深さが1μm−20μmのマイクロパターン要素で、形成される
ことを特徴とする請求項1−7のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記マイクロパターンは、透明なプラスティック・フォイル層又はペーパ層を含む厚さが5μm−50μmである支持部材(20)に形成される
ことを特徴とする請求項1−8のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記マイクロパターンとして、複数のマイクロモティーフ要素(68,82,92)からなる周期的又は少なくとも局部的に周期的な平面状の配列からなるモティーフイメージが形成され、
前記マイクロモティーフ要素(68,82,92)の横方向の寸法は、5μm−50μmである
ことを特徴とする請求項1−9のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記支持部材(20)のマイクロパターンが形成される側とは反対の側は、複数のマイクロフォーカシング要素(22)からなる周期的又は少なくとも局部的に周期的な平面状の配列を具備し、モティーフイメージのマイクロモティーフ要素をモアレ拡大で見ることができるようにする
ことを特徴とする請求項9又は10記載の方法。 - 前記マイクロパターンは、複数の色のマイクロモティーフ要素(92)を有し、
前記マイクロパターン要素(92)は、見た時に混合色の印象を与えるサブグループに形成される
ことを特徴とする請求項11記載の方法。 - 前記マイクロパターンを有する支持部材は、証券用又は有価文書用のセキュリティ要素として使用される、少なくとも目視可能な又は機械で読み取り可能なセキュリティ・フィーチャを有する機能層を具備する
ことを特徴とする請求項1−12のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記支持部材(20)に形成されたマイクロパターンは、透明なオーバーコーティング層(70)を具備する
ことを特徴とする請求項1−13のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記形成されたマイクロパターンを有する支持部材(20)は、加熱シールが可能であるよう提供される
ことを特徴とする請求項1−14のいずれかに記載の方法。
