Description
本発明は、電池の蓄電容量と出力を増大させるパッケージ構造をもつ電池、より詳しくは、電池パッケージの大きさは同じでも電池の蓄電容量と出力が増すように、電池ケースの長さと、電池ケース内に収容される電極集成体の長さを、上部接合部を電池ケースの上端に向けて折り曲げて接合部の長さ方向の幅を狭めた分だけ長くした電池、好ましくは、上部接合部に対応する内側のかどの曲率半径を大きくして優れた封止力を実現させた電池、より好ましくは、電池の蓄電容量と出力を更に高めるために、電池ケースの上体部と下体部とを互いに分け、電極集成体を入れるための収容部を上体部と下体部にそれぞれ形成した電池に関するものである。
本発明は上記の問題点を鑑みてなされたものであり、本発明の一つの目的は、電池ケースの収容部の長さ、及び収容部に入れる電極集成体の長さを、電池ケースの上部接合部が電池ケースの縦の方向に占める幅の分だけ長くし、それによって電池パッケージの大きさは同じでも電池の蓄電容量と出力を高めることができるパッケージ構造をもつ電池を提供することである。
(i)上体部の下端が下体部の下端と一体的に形成されていて、収容部が下体部のみに形成された構造、
(ii)上体部と下体部が互いに分かれていて、収容部が下体部に形成された構造、
(iii)上体部と下体部が互いに分かれていて、収容部が上体部と下体部にそれぞれ形成された構造、及び
(iv)上体部の下端が下体部の下端と一体的に形成されていて、収容部が上体部と下体部にそれぞれ形成された構造
からなる群から選ばれる一つの構造をもっていてよい。
さて、添付の図面を参照しながら本発明の好ましい態様を詳しく説明する。
Claims (10)
- 陽極板、陰極板、及びセパレータを包含する電極集成体と、
該電極集成体及び所定量の電解液を収容し、かつ、前記電極集成体の前記陽極板、及び前記陰極板に対応する電極タップに接続された二つの電極端子が外側に露出するように前記電極集成体を封入する為の、両側の側部接合部を隣接するその側辺に向けて折り曲げられた電池ケースとを備えてなり、
前記電極集成体の長さを長くして電池の蓄電容量及び出力を高めるために前記電池ケースの上部接合部を前記電池ケースの上端に向けて折り曲げ、及び、前記上部接合部に配置されている前記二つの電極端子を前記電池ケースの縦方向に曲げてなり、
保護回路が前記電池ケースの上端に配置し、それに向けて上端接合部を折り曲げて、前記保護回路の裏面が前記上端接合部に接触してなる、電池。 - 前記電池ケースの上部接合部と両側部との共通部分を切り落としてなる、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記電池ケースの上部接合部と両側部との共通部分が切り落とされた端部が丸みを有するものである、請求項2に記載の電池。
- 前記共通部分を切り落とすことで狭められた接合部の幅を補うために、前記上部接合部に対応する内側のかどの曲率半径を大きくした、請求項2又は3に記載の電池。
- 前記電極集成体が積層型電極集成体、もしくはゼリーロール型電極集成体である、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記電極集成体の端部が、内側のかどの曲率半径と一致した形状を有するものである、請求項4に記載の電池。
- 前記電池ケースが、
(i)上体部の下端が下体部の下端と一体的に形成されていて、収容部が下体部のみに形成された構造と、
(ii)上体部と下体部が互いに分かれていて、収容部が下体部に形成された構造と、
(iii)上体部と下体部が互いに分かれていて、収容部が上体部と下体部にそれぞれ形成された構造と、及び
(iv)上体部の下端が下体部の下端と一体的に形成されていて、収容部が上体部と下体部にそれぞれ形成された構造とからなる群から選択されてなる一種の構造を有してなる、請求項1に記載の電池。 - (ii)、(iii)、及び(iv)からなる群から選択されてなる一種の構造を有してなる電池ケースの上体部と下体部の中に電極集成体を入れた状態で上体部と下体部を互いに接合する際に、上体部と下体部を接合することで得られる電池ケースの下端に封止接合部を形成してなる、請求項7に記載の電池。
- 電池ケースが(iii)と(iv)からなる群から選択されてなる一種の構造を有する、請求項7に記載の電池。
- 電池ケースが(iii)の構造を有する、請求項9に記載の電池。
