Abstract

- 相互に連通する基部の端部及び末端部の端部と、該基部の端部と末端部の端部との間に配置された管状壁とを備えた膨張可能なステントであって、該管状壁は、長軸方向の軸と、ステントの長軸方向の軸に実質的に平行に配置された一連の長軸方向の支柱を具えた複数の交差部材によって規定された多孔性表面とを有し、前記各長軸方向の支柱は、ステントが撓んだ状態で、直径方向に対面する一対の前記長軸方向の支柱を実質的に補完し合って伸長及び圧縮させるための撓み手段を備え、該ステントに半径方向の外向きの力が付与された状態で、ステントが第1の収縮位置から第2の膨張位置まで膨張可能であることを特徴とするステント。
