Claims (13)
- 熱可塑性ポリマ・シェルと該シェル内に捕捉された推進剤とを含む熱的に膨張可能な微小球体を含む水性スラリであって、
該スラリは、ゴム類、セルロース類、キチン類、キトサン類、グリカン類、ガラクタン類、ペクチン類、マンナン類、デキストリン類、アクリル酸もしくはその塩を含むモノマから作成された共重合体、アクリル酸のエステルもしくはアミドを含むモノマから作成された単独および共重合体、メタクリル酸、そのエステルもしくはアミドを含むモノマから作成された単独および共重合体、ゴムラテックス、ポリ(塩化ビニル)および共重合体、ポリ(ビニルエステル)および共重合体、ポリ(ビニル・アルコール)、ポリアミン、ポリエチレンイミン、ポリエチレン/ポリプロピレン・オキサイド、ポリウレタン、および、アミノ樹脂およびフェノール樹脂の事前縮合物、および、ポリアミドアミン・エピクロルヒドリン樹脂から成る群から選択された少なくとも部分的に水溶性のポリマを更に含む、水性スラリ。 - 前記少なくとも部分的に水溶性のポリマは、硫酸塩、スルホン酸塩および四級アンモニウム基の内の一個以上の官能基により置換されたポリマから成る群から選択される、請求項1記載の水性スラリ。
- 前記少なくとも部分的に水溶性のポリマは、CMC、EHEC、グアルゴム、ポリアミドアミン・エピクロルヒドリン樹脂、アクリル酸と他のモノマとの共重合体、および、ポリアクリルアミド、ポリアミン、ポリ(ビニル・アルコール)およびポリエチレン/ポリプロピレン・オキサイドの単独および共重合体から成る群から選択される、請求項1または2に記載の水性スラリ。
- 前記少なくとも部分的に水溶性のポリマは、少なくとも約500の平均分子量を有するポリマから成る群から選択される、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の水性スラリ。
- 当該スラリのpHは少なくとも約2.5である、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の水性スラリ。
- 前記微小球体の熱可塑性ポリマ・シェルは、ハロゲン化ビニリデン・モノマを含むエチレン性不飽和モノマからの共重合体から作成される、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の水性スラリ。
- 約20〜約55重量%の膨張可能微小球体を含む、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の水性スラリ。
- 約0.1〜約15重量%の少なくとも部分的に水溶性のポリマを含む、請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の水性スラリ。
- 前記粘度は25℃にて約150〜約1000mPasである、請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の水性スラリ。
- 熱可塑性ポリマ・シェルと該シェル内に捕捉された推進剤とを含む熱的に膨張可能な微小球体の水性スラリに対して少なくとも部分的に水溶性のポリマを添加する段階を含み、
上記少なくとも部分的に水溶性のポリマは、ゴム類、セルロース類、キチン類、キトサン類、グリカン類、ガラクタン類、ペクチン類、マンナン類、デキストリン類、アクリル酸もしくはその塩を含むモノマから作成された共重合体、アクリル酸のエステルもしくはアミドを含むモノマから作成された単独および共重合体、メタクリル酸、そのエステルもしくはアミドを含むモノマから作成された単独および共重合体、ゴムラテックス、ポリ(塩化ビニル)および共重合体、ポリ(ビニルエステル)および共重合体、ポリ(ビニル・アルコール)、ポリアミン、ポリエチレンイミン、ポリエチレン/ポリプロピレン・オキサイド、ポリウレタン、および、アミノ樹脂およびフェノール樹脂の事前縮合物、および、ポリアミドアミン・エピクロルヒドリン樹脂から成る群から選択される、請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載のスラリを調製する方法。 - 紙材または不織布の製造においてそのバルクを増大するための、請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載のスラリの使用。
- 請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載の熱的に膨張可能な微小球体を含むスラリを、繊維を含む原料に対し、または、繊維のウェブに対して添加する段階と、
上記原料または上記ウェブから紙材または不織布を形成する段階と、
熱を付与することにより、上記微小球体が膨張することで上記紙材または不織布のバルクを増大するに十分な様に上記微小球体の温度を上昇させる段階とを含む、繊維から紙材または不織布を製造する方法。 - 請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載の熱的に膨張可能な微小球体を含むスラリを、セルロース繊維を含有する原料に対して添加する段階と、
上記原料を網体上で脱水して紙材を得る段階と、
熱を付与することにより、上記紙材を乾燥すると共に、上記微小球体が膨張することで上記紙材のバルクを増大するに十分な様に上記微小球体の温度も上昇させる段階とを含む、紙材を製造する方法。
