本発明は、広く、静脈血プールから動脈血プールまでの、塞栓の所望されない通過を防ぐためのデバイスおよび方法に関する。本発明は、特に、移植の瞬間から塞栓の通過を瞬間的に防ぐことが可能な塞栓フィルタリングデバイスの使用を介して、特定の心臓欠損、特に開存性卵円孔および他の中隔欠損を治療するためのデバイスおよび方法に関する。
胎児循環は、通常の大人の循環とは、非常に異なる。胎児における血液循環は、発展中の肺ではなく、胎盤によって酸素化される。それゆえ、胎児循環は、少ないパーセンテージの循環血液のみを胎児の肺に向ける。循環血液の大部分は、肺から末梢組織まで、胎児の生存の間開いている(「開存性の」)専用の血管および孔を介して流される。大抵の人々にとって、これらの専用の構造は、出生後すぐに閉じられる。不幸にも、これらは時折閉じることができず、治療しないままにしておくと、致命的になり得る血流力学上の問題を生み出す。

第1のアンカ、第2のアンカおよび第3のアンカであって、該第1のアンカおよび該第2のアンカは、該デバイスの第1の長手方向の端部に向けて配置され、該第3のアンカは、該デバイスの第2の長手方向の端部に向けて配置され、該第1のアンカは、該第2のアンカに反対に位置し、該第1のアンカ、第2のアンカおよび第3のアンカは、該組織に付着するように構成されている、第1のアンカ、第2のアンカおよび第3のアンカと、
該フレームに結合されるスカフォールドであって、該スカフォールドは、該トンネル欠損を実質的に満たすように構成され得る、スカフォールドと
を備えており、
