A door, preferably a two-leaved door, wherein the door leaf (12) is pivotally mounted at its upper and lower ends on pivots (17), the pivots (17) each being disposed at the free end of a respective arm (15, 16) rigidly connected to the door leaf (12) and having the pivot axis spaced from the plane of the door leaf (12) beyond one broadside of the door leaf (12) and within a projection of said broadside, the pivot axis being spaced by a distance exceeding one-sixth, preferably between one-fifth and two- fifths, of the width of the door leaf from said broadside and from the adjacent vertical edge of said projection of said broad-side. <IMAGE>
