Abstract
1392945 Pocket inhalers FISONS LTD 10 Aug 1973 [23 Aug 1972] 39173/72 Heading A5T [Also in Division G5] The subject-matter of this specification is substantially the same as that of Specification 1182779 but includes means which indicate audibly when a desired air flow through a pocket inhaler is achieved. Said means is a double orifice whistle 41 comprising plates 35, 37 having orifices 36, 38 and being fitted on the end of the inhaler. The sound emitted may be caused to change in amplitude, frequency or timbre when the minimum, average or maximum desirable flow rates are achieved. The whistle changes from not sounding to sounding when the desired flow rate is achieved and works only on inhalation through the device. Other indicating means include edge tone, ring tone or hole tone generators, a propeller blade or a siren.
