Abstract
1,272,454. Oral preparations containing dextranase. COLGATE PALMOLIVE CO. 8 Aug., 1969 [9 Aug., 1968], No. 39738/69. Heading A5B. Oral preparations, such as dentifrices and mouthwashes in the form of creams and gels respectively, comprise a non-toxic liquid vehicle, dextranase and, as a binder, Irish moss and/or gum tragacanth. The preparations may also comprise water-insoluble polishing agents, preferably water-insoluble sodium metaphosphate and/or a fluorine-providing compound such as stannous fluoride or sodium monofluorophosphate. The preparations may also contain conventional humectants; flavouring agents; sweeteners; anionic, nonionic, ampholytic or cationic surface active agents; antibacterials; colouring or whitening agents; preservatives; silicones; chlorophyll compounds; and ammoniated materials such as urea and diammonium phosphate.
