Abstract

996,579. Microphones. AKUSTISCHE UND KINO-GERATE G.m.b.H. May 16, 1962 [May 17, 1961], No. 18945/62. Headings H4J and H4R. A directional sound transducer comprises two condenser microphones one of small sound detour acting as a treble transducer the other of relatively larger sound detour acting as a bass transducer, the bass transducer, being omnidirectional at high frequencies, is connected to the treble transducer by a low pass filter. In the described embodiment, Fig. 4, the bass transducer 1 is connected via a resistance R1 to the treble transducer 2 and the input to the amplifier, the resistor R1, the capacitance of the treble transducer, and the stray capacitance of the amplifier input forming an R.C. low pass filter for the bass transducer output.
