A drying cabinet 10 comprises a door 19 downwardly pivotal on hinges 19a and telescopic stays 26, 27 to disclose a separate and spaced heating chamber 12 having radiant panel heaters 81 on the side and top walls, and parallel rail tracks 33, 34 on the door and bottom of the chamber to facilitate loading articles into the chamber. The heating elements each comprise a cushioned, tempered glass panel having an electro-conductive film serving as a resistance element on its rear surface in a frame, and the concave bottom of the chamber has a central drainage opening (Fig. 4, not shown). A signal light 111 on the front wall of the cabinet operates to signal when an " on " and " off " switch 110 has been actuated, and signal lights 112, 113, 114 indicate which of the heaters 81 are operating. Thermocouples (not shown) adjacent the heaters in the chamber are responsive to the internal temperature to control a thermosensitive switch for each heating element. The electric circuit for each signal light is comprised in part on one side by a conductor from one terminal of the "on" and "off" switch 110 to the respective thermosensitive switch and a conductor from the latter to the respective signal light and is comprised on the other side by a return conductor from the signal light to the power supply line.
