Abstract

925,839. Boxes. NEWEY BROS. Ltd. June 5, 1961 [June 16, 1960], No. 21133/60. Class 18. In a box formed as a unitary moulding of synthetic resinous material and having a base 23 and an upstanding peripheral flange 20 the flange is joined to the base between the upper and lower edges of the flange, the upper part of the flange forming a retaining wall for the box. The level of the base is slightly raised above that of the lower edge of the flange and the curved marginal portions 24 are joined to the flange. The lid may be removable or hinged, and may carry a pin cushion. In a further embodiment the marginal portions of the base are curved upwards around its whole periphery and meet the flange at a slight angle. The box may be made of e.g. polystyrene, polymethyl methacrylate, or polyethylene.
