Class 18 A box 1 for water-colours moulded from a plastic material has a lid 2 hinged to the box by forked lugs 8 engaging pins 6, the relative'positions of the lugs and pins being such as to enable the lid to hinge open and its top to lie flat on a surface in the same plane as the base of the box. The hinge edge of the box is raised so as to allow the hinge edge of the lid to pass beneath it. Recesses are moulded in the box for the water-colours and brushes, and the lid is embossed to provide mixing pans on its underside.
