Abstract
918,985. Stoppers. MARCEL, H. June 5, 1959 [June 13, 1958], No. 19339/59. Class 125(3). A stopper head 1 of rigid plastics material has an annular groove 1c for the attachment of a cover 2 with a transparent end wall, made e.g. of a plastics material by injection moulding, the cover 2 enclosing a paper disc 3 carrying advertising material. A projection 2b on the cover 2 acts as an anchor for the cover in the groove 1c and the inner wall of the head 1 has teeth 1b for anchoring the head on a stopper body (not shown) of plastics material or cork. In a modification, Fig. 7, the head 1 is moulded integrally with a stopper body of polythene, the body being hollow and open at its lower end. This modification may be varied by the addition of ribs on the internal surface of the flange of the cover 2, Fig. 8 (not shown). The stopper may have a polygonal head; or again, the upper face of the head may be convex. Specification 729,291 is referred to.
