Abstract
917,902. Releasable fastenings. HAMILTON, C. A. Sept. 14, 1960 [Sept. 24, 1959], No. 31695/60. Class 44. A slide fastener in which slide means carrying manually operable catch means attachable to one of the parts of a garment adjustably connected by the fastener, are slidable over a track attachable to the other part of the garment, the track being of bulbous crosssection and having a row of spaced detents adapted to be selectively engaged by the catch means, the slide means being adapted to coact with the track to retain the slide means in association with the track. As shown, the waistband 1 of a garment has a track 1b engaged by primary and secondary slides 2, 3, 3a attached to a tape 4. The primary slide 2 has a transverse eye 2c to which the tape is connected, and a pivotal catch 2a having a tongue 2b which engages the detents on the track 1b.
