Class 141 A skirt waistband comprises a strip 6 of elastic, tape &c. extending through the interior of the waistband around at least part of the back, one end 8 being fixed and the other end 9 which protrudes through a slot 10 in the inner wall of the waistband being formed with a row of buttonholes 7 which can be selectively engaged over a button 11 adjacent the placket opening.
