906,473. Electric follow-up systems. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. July 18, 1960 [July 18, 1959], No. 24908/60. Addition to 764,133. Class 40 (1). Apparatus for feeding textile material comprises a feeler mechanism following the edge of the material and controlling the position of the feeding mechanism transversely of the direction of feed through a follow - up switch, and is characterized in that the follower comprises an arm 3 (Fig. 2) pivotally attached to the switch contact arm 2, whereby movements of the arm 3 as a whole are transmitted to the switch arm 2, but not rotation of the arm 3 about its central pivot due to variations of the edge 7 of the material about the nominal straight edge 0. The feelers 4 are shoes or rollers rotatably mounted on the ends of arm 3, and biased against the material edge by a spring 6. The parts are preferably coated with a repellant for any sticky textile dressing with which the material has been impregnated.
