891,016. Vibrating road rollers. BOMAG BOPPARDER MASCHINENBAUGESELLSCHAFT. Sept. 14, 1959 [Sept. 12, 1958], No. 31242/59. Class 6(1). A motor driven vibrating road roller comprises two rolls 3a, 3b mounted in a frame and driven by sprockets 20, 21 from a motor 1. The rolls are vibrated by means of shafts 29, 30 provided with unbalanced weights 31, 32, the shafts being rotated from the motor 1 by a drive 37, the shafts being coupled together by chain and sprocket gearing (not shown). For wetting the rolls a pair of water tanks may be provided.
