Abstract
801,216. Road rollers. HAGELSTEIN, H., and HAGELSTEIN, E. [trading as HAGELSTEIN MASCHINENFABRIK, A.]. Sept. 27, 1956, No. 29575/56. Class 6(1). [Also in Group XXI] A vibrating roll 5 is fitted between the front and rear rolls 2, 4 of a road roller 1. As shown the roll is provided with a shaft 6 with unbalanced weights 7 the shaft being driven from a countershaft 13 by belt gearing 11. The shaft 13 is driven from the transmission shaft of the roller through bevel gearing 14 and a carden shaft 15. The roll 5 is mounted on arms 8 pivoted to the roller frame and the arms are acted upon by adjustable springs 17. The roll 5 is raised by a hydraulic jack 19. In a modification the roll 5 is replaced by a vibratory plate (see Group XXI). ).
