Abstract

870,802. Baling-presses. PARKER, P. F., PARKER, C. J., and PARKER, W. J. July 22, 1959 [July 23, 1958], No. 23600/58. Class 94(1). An attachment for an agricultural baler comprises a fixed member 3 along which a number of bales can be disposed, end to end, and which is carried by a frame 1, 2 rigidly attached to the baler, and a gate or rail 4 holds the bales on the member 3, which may be L- sectioned, until it is desired to release them on to the ground. The rail 4 is carried by arms 5 pivoted to the frame 2 and it is held in engagement with the bales by springs 6, 7, Fig. 3 (not shown). The rail 4 is moved against the action of the springs 6, 7 by a hydraulic ram 8 mounted on the frame and which comprises a piston and cylinder supplied with fluid under pressure from the hydraulic system of the tractor. The ram 8 is actuated by a valve controlled by the tractor driver.
