Abstract

972,562. Baling presses. THIEBAUD BOURGUIGNONNE (STEB). Aug, 9, 1963 [June 7, 1962], No. 22017/62. Heading B5F. In a hay &c. baler the density of the bales is regulated by passing them between converging and diverging sides 23 and 26 respectively of a compression chamber. The sides 23 are pivoted to the sides 26 at 25 and to the machine frame at 24. Springs 27, 30 adjustable by cranks 28, 32 bias the sides towards each other. In a modification (Figs. 2, 3, not shown), the pivots 25 are eliminated, and a single spring is provided.
