Abstract
877,097. Vapour burners. LION STAMPING CO. Ltd. June 23, 1960 [July 22, 1959], No. 25176/59. Class 75(1). A vapour burner comprising two perforated sleeves 1, 2 forming an annular combustion chamber and surrounded by a shroud 3 is provided with a further perforated sleeve 4 disposed concentrically within the inner combustion chamber sleeve 1. The upper end of the further sleeve 4 is open and its lower end is closed by a plate 15 having a hole 18 into which projects a spigot on a space heater to locate the burner therein. The space between the futher sleeve 4 and the inner combustion chamber sleeve 1 is closed at the top by a ring 11 and is partially closed at the bottom by a perforated flange 17 on the closure plate 15. A cup-shaped air deflector 12 is supported above the open upper end of the further sleeve 4 on spokes. The further sleeve 4 has two rows of apertures 20, 21 near its bottom end and one row of apertures 22 at its upper end.
