Abstract

869,024. Motor vehicle hydraulic driving gear. WELDING INDUSTRIES Ltd. March 24, 1959 [March 7, 1958], No. 7470/58. Class 79(2). A hydraulic power transmission system for a mechanical handling truck comprises a pair of pumps 6, 7 driven from a prime-mover 5 and one of which is coupled to a motor 10 for driving the ground wheel 1, the other pump 7 being coupled through a control valve 26 which optionally feeds the supply, either to the mechanical handling rams 24 or to the driving motor 10 to increase the driving speed. The pumps 6, 7 are supplied from a common reservoir 9 to which return lines 14, 22 are provided. The main driving transmission system includes a reversing valve 13 operable from a pedal 18. A further manually controlled valve 25 provides for the free return to the line 22 when the handling rams 24 are idling.
